If one thinks like this: Even for those phenomena such as killing or destroying illusory beings, driven by the intention to kill, there is only the fault of acting under the influence of one's own evil thoughts, but no actual sin such as taking life arises. This is because illusory beings do not have mind as the basis for benefit and harm. However, for those sentient beings who possess mind like illusion, performing acts of benefit and harm will generate merit and sin. Therefore, the difference between these two is not the difference between truth and falsehood, but the difference between having mind and not having mind. If one thinks that illusory beings and sentient beings are the same in being unreal, but it is unreasonable that one has mind and the other does not. Since sentient beings have mind, then they are not like illusion. Then, even if sentient beings have mind, but the mind itself is like illusion, how can it become real? For example, illusory mantras and substances do not have the power to generate illusory mind. Whatever arises from something that has the power to generate mind is true. The other cannot be considered false. The illusion that arises from various different causes also appears in various ways. It is not possible anywhere in the world for one cause to produce all results. Therefore, both the body and mind of sentient beings are manifestations created by the assembly of causes and conditions, and they are not established by their own nature. What difference is there from illusion? For example, the appearance of horses and cows in illusion, although there are differences in the appearance of having horns and not having horns, there is no difference between truth and falsehood. Furthermore, those who hold Nirvana to be real say: According to your assertion of no self-nature, then all phenomena of samsara are inherently Nirvana in the ultimate truth, and samsara, which has the characteristics of birth and so on, is conventional truth. If that is the case, Nirvana and samsara will have a common basis. Therefore, even if Buddhahood is attained, one will eventually return to samsara, because it is not that samsara is exhausted and Nirvana is attained, but that samsara itself is Nirvana. Since this is the case, what is the use of practicing the conduct of Bodhisattva in order to attain Buddhahood? Isn't this the same as the meaningless behavior of ordinary people in the world? It is not so.

Therefore, there is a difference between the naturally pure nirvana and the temporarily stainless nirvana. Like this, if the causes for the appearance of individual fruits are not 끊어진, not only samsara, but even the appearance of illusion will not cease. If the causes are 끊어진, they will not arise even in the conventional truth, let alone the ultimate truth. Therefore, those who uproot the cause of birth in samsara, ignorance and its seeds, with the wisdom of realizing selflessness, will not be reborn in samsara, because there is no cause. The birth of the Buddha in the world, etc., is not included in samsara, but from the power of all kinds of wisdom, with aspirations and samadhi, etc., as co-operative causes, they show actions like illusions, but it is never possible to waver from the realm of dharma. Third, in the two debates about true and false appearances, first, the advocates of Vijnanavada say: Like this, these appearances of external and internal objects are not truly existent as external objects, like the appearances of hair and dreams, but from the difference of internal imprints, they mature into various appearances of places, things, and bodies. Therefore, external objects do not exist, but the mind does exist. Because even in dreams, the grasping of experiences such as blue is established. After thinking like this, if you Madhyamikas say, when the object of delusion, the external object, does not exist, and the mind of delusion does not exist either, what will be the object of illusion, like illusion? Because there is no objectifier. If you say so, then temporarily pretend to yield. When you, the Mind-Only school, have not established an object like illusion, then even if the mind exists, what object will it grasp? If neither the object to be grasped nor the grasper exists, then it is impossible to grasp. If you say that, according to our view, the object is not completely non-existent, but like the horses and cows in dreams, in the position of the object, there is an object to be grasped that is different from the material entity. What is that? The aspect of the grasped object that appears as the nature of the object, that is the mind itself, not the object. If you say that, when the mind itself is the object, the object of illusion, then what object will be seen by what objectifier? Because the two are one, they cannot be seen.
