The fruit of this path is to effortlessly and spontaneously enter the ground of the great assembly of the wheel of letters. In general, from the common characteristic vehicle, the buddha-ground is called "all-illuminating." Thus, it is said that it is so-called because it emits many rays of light, making the beings to be tamed into suitable vessels. From the common vajra vehicle, the buddha-ground is known as three grounds. Among them, "all-illuminating" is the dharmakaya, without characteristics, its own nature is luminous, pervading all. The "lotus-holder" is the basis of unattached compassion, because the wisdom without object sees nothing whatsoever in the meaning of the dharmakaya. The "great assembly of the wheel of letters" is when, at that time, the nature of the mandala of wisdom and characteristics is effortlessly and spontaneously accomplished. Among them, there are two letters: wisdom and characteristics. There are also two characteristics: name and form. There are also two kinds of form: fully complete and partially appearing. Such a great assembly of the mandala of the fruit-dharma being spontaneously accomplished is also called the ground of the great assembly of the wheel of letters, and also called the thirteenth buddha-ground. That is when a person of supreme intelligence recognizes the meaning of primordial buddhahood as primordially buddha, and without relying on the effort of the path, becomes swiftly skilled in an instant, and goes all at once. It is not something to be thought about and practiced by ordinary people. Ordinary people, having heard of such a meaning, no matter how diligently they think about it, will not believe that this meaning is true and very profound. Because of not believing, and because it is difficult for the minds of ordinary people to understand, and because they do not understand truth and profundity, they relate their own experiences to others, thinking that all other people are the same as themselves, and thus deny the great perfection realized ones, and slander that all dharmas are primordially enlightened as false, thereby slandering the supreme individuals, and giving rise to the thought of refuting the great vehicle, therefore it must be kept very secret. Therefore, the teacher himself also taught the vehicle of self-secret nature. Therefore, until the wisdom that can truly realize the meaning of all dharmas being primordially enlightened has arisen, it is better to benefit beings through the lower vehicle, that is, the path of gods, humans, shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, etc.

Since birds do not exhaust their lineage, the teacher should praise the faults of samsara and the merits of nirvana to those of low intelligence, and should be proficient in all the stages of all vehicles, and should gradually guide them by combining these meanings with the students' experiences. If a teacher does not understand some aspects of the vehicles, it is not acceptable, and this is widely recorded in the sutras and tantras. Secondly, there are two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first part is: Thus, because of the difference in view, wanting the fruit of merit, the asceticism of the body and the practice of changing one's previous state, that is, asceticism, will also become different distinctions, just as the view is like the eye, and whatever is decided, the asceticism and ascetic practice, like the feet, will follow. Therefore, due to the difference in view, asceticism is divided into two types: with and without. There are two cases where there is no asceticism: because the view has nothing to prove, it is the worldly commoner and the extremist outsider. If the view has something to prove, then there are four types of asceticism: the worldly materialist and the extremist outsider, that is, worldly asceticism that is not related to the path of liberation; and the asceticism of the Hearers and the asceticism of the Bodhisattvas, which have become the path of transcendence; and the unsurpassed asceticism. The second part is: Regarding the worldly commoner mentioned earlier in the section on views, because they are ignorant of cause and effect, they do not know anything about what to accept and reject, so there is no asceticism. The extremist outsider, because they believe that cause and effect are cut off, they do not seek things that are beneficial for the next life, so there is no asceticism. These two are without asceticism. On the side with asceticism, the worldly materialist, in order to achieve power, wealth, etc. in this life that surpass others, is a person with asceticism such as cleanliness. The extremist outsider, in order to purify an existing permanent self, tortures the body with heat and cold, relies on the fire in the four directions and the sun above, that is, the asceticism of the five fires, and engages in inferior practices such as dogs and pigs, pointlessly and perversely.
