It exists. Therefore, if there is no connection between consciousness and object, it is not appropriate to experience the object. If the complete severance of the object and the experience of the two consciousnesses are united in the nature of clarity and awareness, then consciousness will become the awareness of things, but for those thinkers who have been corrupted by the poison of attachment to external objects, such a situation is impossible, because they believe that object and consciousness are different. Therefore, as long as there is no connection of a single self, it is reasonable to experience the object, because in the face of consciousness, all appearances that appear and all experiences that are experienced must only be the nature of clarity and awareness of consciousness. Merely through the relationship of arising, it is not possible to achieve the experience of the object, because the eyes and so on that exist simultaneously will also become the objects of experience, and for the formless, if the fruit produced by the object has no form, then what will it produce? This is impossible. Those outsiders not only believe that there is no awareness of the form of the object, but also believe that there is no self-awareness, if this is the case, then the names of both object and consciousness will disappear, because consciousness must be clear. If it is not clear, just as the object in front of others' eyes has not become the object of one's own experience, the object in front of oneself will not be directly experienced, because there is no reason for the connection between object and consciousness. Therefore, even if one directly sees an object like a vase, if one's own mind has not been hidden from oneself, if this is not the nature of self-awareness, then all of the mind's awareness or experience of the object is impossible, therefore self-awareness is very reasonable. Third, concerning the display that the formless school is unreasonable, in which, it is shown that the possessor of form is only suitable for using the name of experiencing the object, and it is shown that the formless is not even suitable for using the name of experiencing the object, thereby showing its inferiority. First, for the school that consciousness has form: Although the two are actually different, because they are similar to images, it is possible to perceive them by mere imputation. For those who, although asserting external objects, believe that consciousness has form, in reality, although the object and consciousness are considered to be different, the object of the external object and its form are as similar as form and image, therefore, merely through imputation, consciousness can perceive that object, or it can be considered to have been experienced, even if the object is not directly experienced, one can experience the similarity, such as seeing a vase, hearing a sound.

It is only permissible to make such nominal establishments. Second, regarding which consciousness that is transformed by the aspect of objects is not allowed? For it, the aspect of externalist doctrines is also non-existent. Thus it is said, regarding the consciousness that is not allowed to be transformed by the aspect of external objects such as vases, i.e., the school of the aspectless Vaibhashikas, etc., since the connection between object and consciousness is unreasonable, therefore, as external objects, what is acknowledged as blue, yellow, etc., knowing that this is this, and the manifest aspect of awareness, is also not always present. For example, if a crystal ball cannot be changed by color, then no matter what color, such as blue or yellow, is shown on it, it only has its own color and does not change. Similarly, according to the views of these schools, external objects are inanimate and without awareness. Consciousness is awareness, so the object and consciousness become very distant, not only without direct experience, but also not acknowledging the cause of the connection between the two, such as the aspect of an image, even in nominal establishment, seeing, hearing, etc., become impossible. Therefore, if the school of the aspected is carefully examined, since they believe that external objects exist, they are very unrelated, so this is even more inferior, because it will become a slander of direct perception. For them, even if there are no those aspects, they still think there is a direct perception appearance, but if there are no aspects, then it can be established by reasoning that there must be no direct experience of external objects. Thus, after showing that aspectless consciousness is impossible, regarding the consciousness that has various aspects and corresponds to the aspect of consciousness, in the manner of each school, reasoning is used to determine the principle of refuting one truth. Second, refuting the views of the Sutra school, divided into: refuting the three views of multiplicity without duality, half an egg, and equal number of consciousnesses. The first view is divided into: the fault of becoming one like consciousness, the fault of becoming multiple like aspects, and if it is not so, then the fault of consciousness and aspects becoming different entities, three refutations. First, since one consciousness is not other, it will not become multiple aspects, therefore, it is impossible to establish that the object and consciousness change through its power. Thus it is said, for the school of the aspected, there are also two types: acknowledging the apprehended aspect as one, and acknowledging it as multiple. In the case of acknowledging it as multiple, there are acknowledging multiple consciousnesses like the number of aspects, and not acknowledging it but acknowledging one consciousness.
