Namo Emaho! Therefore, those impartial, fortunate, and intelligent ones, cultivate the eye of wisdom to see this profound way. Enter the excellent palace of the essential meaning of definitive truth, and become rich with the attainment of both your own and others' benefit. May the virtuous result of this endeavor be like the light of the newly risen autumn moon, completely pacifying the burning heat of the degeneration of the five defilements. May the lotus garden of the Buddha's scriptural and realized teachings flourish and increase the ocean of liberation. May I also, in all my lives, be cared for by the compassionate protector, the Lama, perfect the skill of scripture, reason, and oral instructions, establish myself on the peak of the supreme vehicle's snow mountain, and roar the fearless lion's roar. This was also briefly summarized as the seed of the basis of composition by the all-knowing Lama, Mipham Jampal Gyepe Dorje, who has become the sole lion speaking in the snowy mountains. The initial verses were newly added in my own words, and Jamyang Lodro Gyatso copied it at the Dharma school of Palyul Shechen Tenzin Gyaling in my own place. May this also cause the tradition of the great definitive meaning Madhyamaka to spread and flourish in all directions and remain for a long time! Instructions for the people of the snowy lands in general, and the Nyingma in particular. Listen, people of the snowy lands in general, and Nyingma followers in particular! For those who have attained the samadhi of the Dharma lineage, in every moment, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions teach many doors of Dharma. For some exceptionally fortunate king-subjects and incarnate beings, the wisdom body of Padmasambhava, the embodiment of all Buddhas, directly gives instructions, or profound Dharmas called earth treasures and mind treasures appear in due time, which cannot be denied by anyone. However, such individuals are as rare as the udumbara flower, possessing great qualities that surpass ordinary people, and are outstanding figures who become Lamas; it is not something that anyone can do casually. Therefore, if someone discovers a new Dharma that has never existed before, if that person is qualified, it is necessary to inquire and investigate whether they understand the profound Dharma that has become the domain of the noble ones, based on the qualities of wisdom and the confidence of experience and realization. With the qualities of compassion, a sincere desire for the Dharma, and compassion for beings, one should benefit all as much as possible, rather than generating faults such as attachment, hatred, jealousy, self-praise, and disparaging others.

Since they do not possess the defilements of ordinary people's knowledge stream, they deceive beings with the false pretense of being accomplished when they are not, and pretending to know when they do not. They abandon the excellent practices of listening, contemplating, and meditating on the Sugata's teachings and the reliable instructions of wise and accomplished masters, which are like wish-fulfilling jewels; the intermediate practice of connecting with recitation and accomplishment; and even the lowest practice of uttering pure teachings from both old and new traditions. Instead, they go to the highest and most sacred places in human and religious affairs, thinking, "How wonderful it would be if I could be known as a wise person!" They teach that their own false Dharma is timely and profound. To virtuous practitioners, they say, "If you do not become a mantra practitioner, you will have a short life," causing them to break their vows and creating regret where there was none before. They attribute the source of their Dharma to Padmasambhava, making false prophecies, saying: "So-and-so woman is a demon! So-and-so woman is a ghost!" If a woman is attached to them, she is a dakini; if she is not attached, she is a demoness. Most good lamas are demons out of jealousy. Most practitioners who are close to them are emanations of lords and subjects if they respect them, and emanations of demons if they do not. They praise their own Dharma and themselves as much as heaven and earth. They deceive worthy recipients, such as the vidyadhara Padmasambhava and the Three Jewels, with false Dharmas and fake treasures said by other treasure revealers, thus slandering the holy ones. If they do not have even a speck of the faults of these four black Dharmas, then the qualities of their compassion are immeasurable, and their ability is such that whoever is connected to them, their minds will turn to the Dharma; whoever they meet will have pure visions; if it lasts long, their faith will grow stronger; and they will bring various benefits, both great and small, to the Dharma and beings. Even without expecting the weapons of power, poison, and evil speech at inappropriate times, they can subdue negative forces, and their commands are powerful and their blessings are great. Just touching their hands and feet can be beneficial for illnesses and other ailments. Residing in a place and connecting with someone will bring various spiritual friends according to their own fortune. If they possess these qualities, then one should understand their ability from them. If one does not have the extraordinary activities of a wise, virtuous, and excellent person who possesses such wisdom, compassion, and ability, or even something similar to them, and arbitrarily becomes a treasure revealer, then it is like the nonsensical teachings of the Bonpos, which, even if the words are beautiful, cannot be trusted. Moreover, the chief of qualities is wisdom.
