Ro! Thus it is inferred. If a pot is emptied by a pot, then that pot will become not a pot, so wouldn't the pot cease to exist nominally? Answer: Let it be so. If that's the case, if the ultimate truth is emptied by the ultimate truth, then the ultimate truth will become not the ultimate truth, and the ultimate truth will also cease to exist nominally, which is the same. Therefore, with the examination of the ultimate truth, for the intellect, true non-existence, freedom from elaboration, emptiness, and the ultimate truth, etc., are acknowledged as what is to be established, and it is not appropriate to acknowledge them as what is to be refuted. Therefore, it is necessary to absolutely acknowledge that true non-existence, etc., are, but if one denies and says they are not, then one must acknowledge that the ultimate truth and emptiness are true, existent, and not empty, and one cannot deny that they are untrue, non-existent, and empty. With the wisdom of meditative equipoise that sees the ultimate truth, one must see and grasp true non-existence, etc., those above, and acknowledge that they exist in their object and are true. Likewise, one cannot deny that that wisdom does not see or grasp those, that they do not exist in their object, and that they are not true in its presence. In the presence of the noble ones' seeing, the ultimate truth of emptiness must also be acknowledged as existent and truly established, etc. If one acknowledges true establishment, then won't it prevent true clinging to emptiness? Answer: In this regard, true clinging cannot be prevented nominally, because the idea that the true meaning is truly established is not the true clinging that reason and the path are to prevent, just as holding true non-existence as true non-existence is not what is to be refuted. The true establishment of the ultimate truth that can withstand examination is not what needs to be examined in this case, because the reason for establishing the ultimate truth itself has already been determined, and because the emptiness of true establishment is included in the category of emptiness spoken of by the conventional. Therefore, just as you say that for true non-existence, even if there is no true establishment, holding it as true non-existence can never be prevented, so too for the ultimate truth, even if it is empty of the dharma that can withstand the examination of the ultimate truth, the ultimate truth itself is truly established, and holding it as not empty of its own nature is in every way the same as what cannot be prevented. If one examines with the examination of the ultimate truth, while not acknowledging any established ultimate truth of the dharma that can withstand examination and that cannot be refuted by it, one exclusively takes true establishment as what is to be refuted by the intellect that examines the ultimate truth, and as inconceivable.

Thinking that wisdom is what should be abandoned. If it is thought that all objects of focus are what should be refuted and abandoned by those two, then according to the view of the Heshang, it is said to be extremely unreasonable. According to the view of those, both reason and wisdom refute and abandon the conventional truth of dualistic appearance, but the ultimate truth, the object emptied by the conventional truth, and the subject, wisdom, and whatever phenomena are seen by wisdom that become the ultimate truth, these are not refuted or abandoned, and this is also well established. If all objects of focus are taken as what should be refuted and abandoned at all times, then all phenomena of suchness and allness will become what should be refuted by reason and the path, and thus become a nihilistic emptiness like the sky. Therefore, for all the Tibetans who look at these commitments made by those who speak of other-emptiness with suspicion, even unwillingly, their own commitments will spontaneously become commitments of other-emptiness. Therefore, existence and non-existence, truth and non-emptiness are extremes, and all thoughts that grasp them will not become extreme grasping. As the Bhagavan said, "For existence, he knows existence as it is; for non-existence, he knows non-existence as it is." Like this, the wisdom of subsequent discrimination, for the way of existence, the way of non-existence, whether it is established as true or not, emptiness and non-emptiness, etc., these that are well distinguished and established, are established by the measure that distinguishes the meaning of allness without confusing terms, therefore they cannot be refuted. The supreme protector among humans, Shakya Simha, roared the lion's roar in the fearless assembly, this alone is the ultimate essence of definitive meaning, those who have gained certainty will not regress, and prophecies will flourish. The regent Maitreya, the master of the ten grounds, and Nagarjuna and Asanga, who reside in the holy place, the river of their intentions merges into the ocean of wisdom, seeing contradictions is only a fault of one's own wisdom. Although the nature of all phenomena is emptiness, the self-luminous body and the realm of wisdom, are spontaneously present from the beginning, like the sun and its rays, the way of the great Madhyamaka of the union of appearance and emptiness, is the non-deceptive ultimate truth in the vision of the noble ones. The conventional dualistic appearance is false, giving the eye of wisdom that distinguishes place and appearance, this supreme good saying is like a jewel.
