Therefore, keep all instructions in mind. Without discernment of what to accept and reject, one will wander astray. Discernment of wealth is something even degenerate people are skilled at. But when it comes to discerning Dharma, they take whatever comes along without knowing. I have no desire to slander others. Profound treasures are as hard to find as wish-fulfilling jewels, and as it is said, where the Dharma is profound, the demons are also profound. Regarding treasures, one should rely on their source, avoiding confused praise and blame. Nowadays, the eight worldly concerns are mostly prevalent. Using immoral conduct, fake accomplishments, alcohol, wealth, and so on, they invoke the name of Padmasambhava. Without the need for study and reflection, they disregard cause and effect. Without the need for recitation, accomplishment, or meditation, they claim to reach the rank of lord and subject in a single day, and most like-minded people attach themselves to this. By this means, they cause others to doubt the teachings of the early translation school. Therefore, if one is truly a genuine treasure revealer, there is no need for chanting; one should raise the victory banner of teaching and practice, based on the key points of one's own view, practice, and result. If it benefits unbiased beings, then it is a true treasure, and there is no need for self-praise; fame will spread across the earth. There is no need to reveal treasures; the true Dharma will abide. If one does reveal treasures, they should be revealed in a way that inspires faith. There is no need for trade; everyone will eagerly obtain them. Therefore, the teachings of Padmasambhava are a precious jewel for treasure revealers. Therefore, do not criticize them; consider how to make them an ornament. Those who do not think of the teachings but desire their own wrong livelihood, who deceive fools with new teachings for the sake of offerings, and who do whatever they can to teach and spread them, are wrong because they have forgotten the words of Padmasambhava. In the presence of the gods, vidyadharas, and dakinis, those who have pure thoughts for the teachings of Padmasambhava, and those scholars who use meaningless words, alas! They should think of the precious teachings and protect them. Alas, in these degenerate times, like me, I have little ability to benefit others. If there are others with the wisdom to discern truth, may they benefit beings. Even though the degenerate times are as dark as night, the activity of Padmasambhava is as clear as the moon. The rays of the essence of secret mantra are like the sun, illuminating the three realms, may auspiciousness arise! This was written by Mipham on the 10th day of the second month of the Fire Horse year, as it came to mind. May it be virtuous! From the profound treasure of the Vidyadhara's Longsal Nyingpo, the Rudra of the teachings.

Mixing heart blood with earth, may consciousness be in the place of Avici, Maraya. Because some narrow-minded people who have never even heard that the Vajra words can be explained in six ways were talking nonsense, I heard this from the teachings transmitted from the great Kagyok Paṇḍita of the Five Sciences. Even this single line of Vajra words has special points that can be explained in six ways. If taken literally, like Rudra, who is shown as the object to be suppressed, expanding downwards is the general practice of mantra rituals, so direct it to the city of Yama in the lower direction, so that his own bad karma quickly ripens and is exhausted, thus becoming qualified to attain supreme enlightenment, and kill the consciousness that confuses the grasper and the grasped in the realm of non-conceptuality. If not taken literally, although the sound refers to Avici hell, if explained as having no suffering, then it means killing the consciousness of grasper and grasped in Akanishta, just as it is said, "Father and mother are the objects to be killed," and so on. If it only means "May you be born in Avici hell," then it is inappropriate to say "Maraya," because it is ridiculous to think that the consciousness born in Avici can be killed, just as "Consciousness is not a physical thing, so no one can kill it anywhere." Therefore, it is like the meaning of what is said, "Whoever is killed by the Vajra weapon, life dies in the Vajra of wrong thoughts, how can there be rebirth?" Furthermore, if explained from the provisional meaning, it can be said that the fierce self-radiance of the bad karma and three poisons of the enemies of the Dharma is called "Avici," which is named based on similarity. There, through the profound methods of life ablution and the three places, kill the consciousness of grasper and grasped of the bad karma and enemies of the Dharma, making it irreversible. If explained from the ultimate meaning, the tip of the central channel, called the palace of great bliss jewel, is "Avici," because when the wind enters there, it steals the suffering of samsara. There, by dissolving the movement of the karma wind, which is the mount of conceptualization, into the realm, the consciousness of grasper and grasped generated by the transformation of the three appearances is prevented or killed, therefore in the tantras, killing is explained as the samaya of Akshobhya, which has inner and outer explanations.
