Bound by ignorance and actions, this indicates that suffering also becomes the basis of suffering, so samsara is like a continuous cycle arising from interdependence. These twelve links of dependent origination, as long as there is a result produced by the previous cause, it will become the subsequent cause, and as long as there is a cause, the result will not disappear, and the result will arise. After arising, it becomes the subsequent cause, and the cause and effect are uninterrupted, cycling like before. The twelve links of dependent origination, the completion of cause and effect twice over, this is illustrated by the present intermediate existence, and can also be transferred to other places. The key to the cycle of cause and effect like sparks, one must know that this is the most excellent of all wisdoms. Among them, cause and effect, dependent origination, etc., according to the view of the Hearers, are considered to be the temporary five aggregates, and although there are many such as momentary dependent origination, if one understands the uninterrupted cause and effect of "when this exists, that will arise", and the profound key to the continuous dependent origination of a definite number, then all these reasons are one meaning, and after knowing the key to the difficulty of understanding this dependent origination, one will become very respectful. Second, like this, it is difficult to understand, but understanding it is of great significance, just as humans cherish life, among all the Buddha's teachings, the most precious dependent origination, because one wants to hear it, one asks: If the twelve branches are summarized, where will they be summarized? It is explained from "they are summarized into three", the twelve links of dependent origination spoken by the Buddha, all of them are summarized into these three: afflictions, karma, and suffering. If one wants to know what is the way that the twelve branches are summarized into three branches, then, among the twelve branches, the first ignorance (Tibetan: མ་རིག་པ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अविद्या, Sanskrit Romanization: avidyā, Chinese literal meaning: ignorance), the eighth craving (Tibetan: སྲེད་པ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: तृष्णा, Sanskrit Romanization: tṛṣṇā, Chinese literal meaning: craving), the ninth grasping (Tibetan: ལེན་པ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: उपदान, Sanskrit Romanization: upādāna, Chinese literal meaning: grasping) these three are the Dharma of afflictions. The second action (Tibetan: འདུ་བྱེད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: संस्कार, Sanskrit Romanization: saṃskāra, Chinese literal meaning: action) and the tenth existence (Tibetan: སྲིད་པ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: भव, Sanskrit Romanization: bhava, Chinese literal meaning: existence) are the two karmas that can lead to rebirth, the remaining fruits of these five, consciousness (Tibetan: རྣམ་ཤེས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: विज्ञान, Sanskrit Romanization: vijñāna, Chinese literal meaning: consciousness), name and form (Tibetan: མིང་གཟུགས།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नामरूप, Sanskrit Romanization: nāmarūpa, Chinese literal meaning: name and form), six senses (Tibetan: སྐྱེ་མཆེད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: षडायतन, Sanskrit Romanization: ṣaḍāyatana, Chinese literal meaning: six senses), contact (Tibetan: རེག་པ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्पर्श, Sanskrit Romanization: sparśa, Chinese literal meaning: contact), feeling (Tibetan: ཚོར་བ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वेदना, Sanskrit Romanization: vedanā, Chinese literal meaning: feeling), birth (Tibetan: སྐྱེ་བ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: जाति, Sanskrit Romanization: jāti, Chinese literal meaning: birth), old age and death (Tibetan: རྒ་ཤི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: जरामरण, Sanskrit Romanization: jarāmaraṇa, Chinese literal meaning: old age and death) these seven are also suffering. The word "also" means to collect, unwanted encounters, the loss of what is wanted, etc. are all included there. Or the word "also" includes not only these seven themselves, but also the states of karma and afflictions are all suffering.

Thus it is said, there is nothing beyond these. In this way, these twelve can be summarized into three types of Dharma, completely inclusive, without the slightest omission. Third, regarding the manner in which karma, afflictions, and suffering arise from where and how: From "Among the three" to "cyclic existence," it is explained in one verse. From these three afflictions arise the two karmas, namely, from ignorance arises formation, and from grasping arises existence. From these two, formation and existence, arise the seven bases of suffering, namely, from formation arises consciousness to feeling, and from existence arise birth and aging. From these seven, three more arise again, namely, relying on these bases, the three afflictions arise through direct and indirect means. Even for a single base, it is the result of the former and the cause of the latter. Therefore, there is no interruption between cause and effect, and the wheel of cyclic existence itself, like a revolving fire wheel, turns again and again without interruption. Existence, that is, the three realms, is the place where one revolves. Individual beings are the sentient beings who revolve. The way in which they revolve is like a wheel, revolving without interruption. Although similar, it is not entirely the same, just as a wheel revolves in sequence, cyclic existence does not necessarily proceed in sequence, but wanders in various ways, high and low. Therefore, the individual being who has become the wheel of cyclic existence is expressed with the meaning of distinction, indicating that one revolves uncertainly. Fourth, like this, are the various bodies that are born in existence the masters of all these, or are they called self-existent beings? What is his action or what is to be done? From "all actions are causes" to "the dharma of non-existence." In the state of holding various existences like this, as the agent or the sentient being who goes among beings, the former is the cause and the latter is the result, that is, in that state, regarding the whole, one, and permanent, etc., as merely conceptually imputed. Because what is imputed cannot exist as a substance, all beings rely on the result produced by the former cause, and are merely false, adventitious dharmas. In this imputed state, they are called sentient beings, but in reality, there is no self-nature that is established by itself. The way in which there is no self-nature is:
