A permanent thing does not actually transfer to another thing. If it did, the previous individual would no longer be able to recite the Vedas, and the sound of the Vedas would become permanent, so it is understood that it should not be transferred for many reasons. The student's learning of the Vedas also does not arise without a cause, without relying on the previous cause, because it contradicts direct perception and inference. Just like the words spoken from the mouth of a teacher, the mind of death would also become a fault of permanence, so it does not go to the next world. The next world also does not arise from the same kind of previous aggregates without a cause, because it would become a fault of causelessness. Just as the cause and effect are one in nature, and cannot be said to be other, in the order of how it is said. Similarly, the mind belonging to existence that arises dependent on the mind of death is also the same. It cannot be said to be those themselves, nor can it be said to be different from those. If it is other established by its own nature, then why is it necessary to rely on the previous one? Because it is not necessary. Similarly, the arising of a lamp from a lamp, the arising of images in mirrors etc. from a face, the arising of protrusions of seals etc. from seals, i.e. statues and Thaila seals, the arising of fire from a burning glass, the arising of sprouts from seeds, the saliva that arises from eating or thinking of sour fruit, and the echoes that arise from sounds, etc., these are not mutually produced or thought to be produced, but when the causes and conditions naturally gather, the fruits naturally arise, just like a child sees a person going from one house to another. Since the cause has not ceased, it does not transfer to the position of the fruit of its own nature, so do not think that the two are one. Do not regard it as an unrelated other thing, it is unreasonable to establish cause and effect separately as established by their own nature, therefore, through these eight examples that are not established as different, the aggregates of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, the former state produces the latter, and the connection of continuity through the manner of cessation and arising, that is also not Transferring from one to another, or not transferring, the wise should understand. Thus, things

Regarding the situation, all these conditioned dharmas, comprised of outer and inner, arise when causes and conditions come together, and do not arise when they do not. Moreover, it is well established through reasoning that whatever has arisen does not remain for a second moment. However, beings are obscured by inner ignorance, and are not familiar with the true meaning. They are deluded by the continuous occurrence of similar external conditions, thinking, "That former thing is this present one; this present one will go to that future one." In this way, they think of the past and future as one, and cling to permanence and oneness. For example, "I crossed this river once before, and tomorrow I will cross it again." They cling to the continuously flowing water as if it were a single, solid thing. Due to the influence of such conceptualizations, they cling to the permanence of the unstable and fluctuating nature of samsara, and thus tightly bind their own continuum to samsara. Those who know and are familiar with the situation, loosening that bond is dharma. The suffering of samsara is not given or taken away by anyone else, but is merely created by one's own conceptualizations. In the true state of reality, there is no establishment of impermanence itself. However, the appearance of conditioned phenomena is not deceptive, so it should be understood that momentariness pervades things that have function, based on the level of appearance. In this way, by moving from here to there, the permanent self is lost. Since there is nothing that does not arise from causes, the self-established nature of the present self is also lost. Therefore, know that so-called "sentient beings" are helplessly driven by karma and afflictions, wandering from one existence to another like a water wheel, are impermanent, merely imputed on the basis of the aggregates, and are empty of inherent existence. Therefore, the three kinds of compassion focused on that also arise in the same way. These eight examples should also be understood as the later examples dispelling the doubts of the earlier ones, as stated in the sutras. In this way, all inner and outer phenomena, which arise dependently in such a way, should be understood as being like illusions and dreams. In this way, samsara is merely created by the habitual patterns of mistaken conceptualizations. The word 'also' is...
