A sealing method using water or saffron water. It will naturally appear silver in color. If you want it to look like gold, you will need 130 units of yellow sulfur, 112 units of dried saffron meat, 130 units of yellow mercury, 78 units of asafoetida, and 650 units of realgar, making a total of ten srangs. The best realgar is yellow, the medium is white, and the worst is blue-black. The practice for this is as follows: as mentioned above, boil and wash the realgar, and while it is still warm, add finely ground yellow sulfur, and boil it briefly without letting the steam escape. Then, as before, pour in a bre of wine or sour yogurt, and without stirring, add the other three ingredients. Pour it into a sheepskin bag, seal it, and place it in a pottery container that can hold about eight bre. Pour enough sour yogurt on top to cover it. Cover it with a cloth and bury it in sand for three to seven days. Then take it out and knead the bag vigorously. Once it is as soft as yogurt, open it and strain it through a cloth. If you want it to be black, you will need graphite, mix it with glue, and apply it to paper, wood, or whatever is needed. If you need to apply a top coat again, the juice from the previous ingredients will suffice. Realgar comes from gold-transforming minerals. Another method for applying lacquer is: on the base of whatever you are painting, whether it is stone or wood, apply water from Prunus tomentosa and let it dry. Then, apply refined white lead that has been softened with thick glue water. Once it is dry, polish it with a whetstone and apply safflower juice. On top of that, apply diluted Prunus tomentosa water. After that, apply saffron juice. Then, polish it and press it with a polishing stone, and a color that is superior to gold will appear. Another method is to melt equal parts of refined white lead and mercury, then grind it finely and apply it to any wood or other object that is needed, and it can be used as a substitute for silver. The juices of saffron, madder, mercury, sulfur, orpiment, mirabilite flowers, yellow utpala (藏文:ཨུཏྤལ་སེར་པོ།,梵文天城体:उत्पल,梵文罗马拟音:utpala,汉语字面意思:青莲花), and the red substance that drips like blood from old smoke in houses, when mixed and applied, will transform into gold. From minerals. Another method is to melt refined white lead and pour it into black butter three times. Then, mix about half a srang of mercury into a portion of lead powder and melt it slowly in an iron container. Pour it into the juice of Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica, and Phyllanthus emblica. Repeat this three times, and it will turn into a color like silver. Can it be made into hot silver? Grind it and apply it to wood or other objects to turn them silver, and that is sufficient. From minerals. Also, realgar

Thoroughly crush the seabuckthorn and place it in a container, sealing the opening with clay, but not completely. Then add a little butter or sesame oil, heat it over charcoal, and let it cool. It will become like burnt paper ash. Mix it with sesame oil and apply it to anything to make it appear golden. Alternatively, boil safflower slightly in wine until the color fades, then remove it. If there is no wine, grind it into powder and place it in a clean sheepskin bag. Mix butter, grease, and ointment together. Gradually remove impurities until it becomes pure. Repeat this several times, soak it in sesame oil, and check if it is costus root. Grind it into a fine powder, extract the juice, and apply it to reveal a silver sheen. If the grinding is not fine enough, it can be treated like tsampa cooked in wine. Filter it with mud, remove impurities as before, apply sesame oil, and polish it with a whetstone to complete. Apply lime on it, mix it with barley and rue washed with rainwater and dried, and calcine it. This will turn it into something like pure gold or refined gold. This is the method of extracting it from minerals. Mixing pear and alkali and applying it to iron will produce a copper color. Sagram pigment is also similar to this. If mixed with sea salt in a copper vessel, it is said that iron will look like copper, as recorded in the scriptures. It should be understood that the above are various methods of changing the color of objects in different situations. The application method of polishing agent for various colors is: Pour an appropriate amount of sesame oil into a medium-sized porcelain bowl, heat it slowly over low heat without burning it, then remove it from the heat and let it cool. Add a large piece each of frankincense and pine resin, and a small amount of burnt tea residue. Then simmer it over low heat for a long time. When it mixes with sesame oil, it indicates that it is cooked. Filter it with a cloth and store it. This is the polishing agent. When applying the polishing agent, the new pigment without oil must be cleaned first, removing dust, and then apply a primer. The quality of the primer depends on the quality of the glue. The primer is the clear liquid of high-quality glue, diluted without impurities, and frozen to the extent that it can be stirred with a wooden stick. Stir it repeatedly until it becomes like water. Apply it evenly with a thick brush, ensuring no dust, and leave it overnight. After it dries the next day, apply the polishing agent evenly on it with a clean, odorless, damp cloth washed with water. Wipe it slightly, do not wipe it excessively, otherwise it will not penetrate. Do not wipe it too thickly either. Apply it once first, then apply it evenly on top. If it is applied too thickly, it will gather together after drying. If it is applied too thinly, it will lose its luster, so it is important to grasp the proper measure.
