Even for things that are not suitable, if the way of expression is skillful, it can show great merits and beauty. For example: The wise are never satisfied with seeking good speech; even if it is said a hundred times, the dull do not understand. This person still likes to hear good speech and does not give up longing, it is truly amazing! Like this. The eighth is the merit of grandeur, which is having many compound words that omit case endings, etc. This is especially suitable for prose, and for poetry, if it is not a southern style but an eastern style, then this style itself is considered the best ornament. Among them, heavy and light syllables alternate, sometimes heavy syllables are many, sometimes light syllables are many, and sometimes both heavy and light syllables are few, like the waves of the ocean rising and falling. This form is used not only for prose expression, but also for poetry, etc. For example: ཨསྟེ་མེསྟེ་ཀེ་པེཪྻ་སྟེ། (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) །ས་མེ་སྟཱེཏྐཾ་ཤེུ་སེ་སྟེ་རཱ། (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) །བཱི་ན་སྟེ་ནེ་སྠི་ཏཱེ་དཱེ་མྲ། (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) །ཀམྲེ་སྟྭི་བཻ་བཱེ་རེུ་ནཱི། (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) ། This verse is grand, and the eastern style also applies to poetry. It is said that this verse is a combination suitable for oral expression. Here, the Sanskrit word for "རའི་" (ra'i), "ཨསྟ་" (asta), omits the sixth case; the Sanskrit word for "མགོའི་" (mgo'i), "མསྟ་" (masta), omits the seventh case; between words like "བཪྻསྟ། སམསྟ་ཨཏྐ་" (barysta, samasta atka), and "བསྟྲ་" (bstra) omits the first case; "འོད་" ('od) obtains the plural form, so the case "ཨཾ་" (am) is added to the Sanskrit word for "འོད་" ('od), "ཨཾ་ཤུ་" (amshu); both "པཱི་ན་རྒྱས་པ་" (pina rgyas pa) and "སྟ་ན་ནུ་མའི་" (sta na nu ma'i) omit the seventh case; the word "བཞིན་" (bzhin), i.e., similar "ཨེ་པ་" (epa), does not have a compound word; "སྟ་རཱ་" (sta ra) and "བ་རུ་ཎཱ་" (ba ru na) do not have compound words at the end of both lines, so they are retained, while other parts are omitted. This verse is an example of many heavy syllables and few light syllables. As for the examples of few light syllables and many heavy syllables, and the equality of the two, it should be understood from between the lines, as the predecessors said. Or, the first line is an example of no light syllables, and similarly, if this is applied to all four lines, it is a verse with many light syllables. The other three are examples of many heavy syllables, and it is also acceptable to understand the equal situation from between the lines. Combination means that heavy syllables have a high sound and light syllables have a low sound, so like alternating high and low, this is only an incidental meaning, the main thing is that many compound words are the merit of grandeur. This grand word is not only suitable for prose, but also for poetry, and the eastern style also

Like that combination, this is an example accepted by the Sharpa school. The meaning of translating that verse into Tibetan is: Falling on the mountain top of the west, all directions have a mattress of red sunlight, what is that like? Like being adorned with a red cloth covering the hard or full breasts, the west or Varuni. This is a description of the scene of the sun setting. It is said that it is an Indian custom for women to wear red clothes when they are dusty. Other Southerners seem to have phrases, but the combination of verses is uneven in weight, or not chaotic, but adorned with balance. They consider it majestic for words to have various phrases. For example: པ་ཡོ་དྷེ་རེ་ཏེ་ཊོཾ་སྟཾ་གེ། །ལྃགྣ་སྃནྡྷྱ་ཏེ་སཾ་ཤུ་ཀཱ། །ཀསྱེ་ཀཱྃ་མཱྃ་རྟུ་རཾ་ཙེ་ཏོ། །པ་རུ་ཎི་ནེ་ཀེ་རི་ཥྱེ་ཏི། །This is also a beneficial combination. Here, the Sanskrit for cloud is པ་ཡོ་, and the Sanskrit for wind is དྷ་ར་, and the first case is omitted between the two. The Sanskrit for face is ཏ་ཊོ་ཏ་, and the Sanskrit for thigh is སཾ་ག་, and the sixth case is omitted between the two. The seventh case is also omitted at the end of སཾ་ག་. The Sanskrit for time is ལགྣ་, and the Sanskrit for boundary is སནྡྷི་, and the sixth case is omitted between the two. The Sanskrit for clothes is ཨ་ཏས། The Sanskrit for light is ཨཱཾ་ཤུ་, and the first case and the Sanskrit for "and" ཙ་ are omitted between the two. ཨཾ་ཤུ་ཀཱ། Because it is the end of the second line, it does not get a phrase, so it is not omitted. The Sanskrit for who is ཀིཾ་, change the letter ཀ་ to ཀ་, and the sixth case is not omitted in ཀ་, so སྱ་ is actually retained. In addition, the Sanskrit for being tormented by desire is ཀ་མ་ཏ་ and དུ་རཾ་, and the third instrumental case is omitted between the two. The Sanskrit for heart is ཙེ་ཏས་, and the first letter is omitted. The name of the west is Varuni, the Sanskrit for Varuni is པ་རུ་ཎི་, and the Sanskrit for "do not do" is ཀ་རི་ཥྱ་ཏི་, and the third case is omitted between the two. Its end is the end of the fourth line, and it is also the boundary between the latter line and these two lines. Moreover, because it is a verb ending, there is no need to omit the case. In general, verses mostly naturally have case and other phrases, while prose needs phrases even more. Therefore, the Southern style is high and low, the words are soft and rough, and the expression is smooth.
