Pala. Ultimately, there is no good or bad, In the equality of no good or bad, Realization and definite understanding are the best. With excellent definite understanding, this cycle of existence, Having abandoned it, one does not seek to attain Nirvana, Like contradictory words, The key point of the non-contradictory path. Examine and taste the essence of the view, practice, instructions, and secret points. In between, examination and placement need to be alternated, Examination will give rise to definite understanding, If one does not examine, one becomes attached to the ordinary, Examine and examine again to draw out definite understanding. When definite understanding arises, in that very state, Without distraction, cultivate single-pointedness. Definite understanding and the mind that imputes, Are mutually contradictory, By examining, imputations are refuted, Definite understanding increases more and more. Finally, even if definite understanding is not drawn out by examination, When definite understanding arises naturally, Rather than placing it in that very state, Why examine what has already been accomplished? When one realizes that there is no snake on the rope, That definite understanding reverses the grasping of the snake. Saying again, "There is no snake," is it not foolish to examine again and again? When the realization of the noble path becomes manifest, One does not cultivate it by examining again, For manifest realization, what need is there for reasoning, Mental examination, or application? If one is separated from examination, The realization of seeing the meaning will not be accomplished, The wisdom of the noble ones and victors, And the harmless knowledge of the world, What is upside down for you in holding onto phenomena? It is definitely the case that they, Have already realized, therefore for them, There is no examination at their own time. In the face of the special definite understanding that is free from the elaboration of the four extremes, There is no opportunity to examine with a focus, thinking, "This is this." When that grasping of characteristics of examination, Like a silkworm, That thought binds it, One does not see the true meaning as it is. When this special definite understanding, Dispels the darkness that obscures suchness, In the clear light of the original meaning, Whatever sees that unerroneously, Is each one's own wisdom, How could it be mental wisdom? Wisdom's object is this, Discriminating and thinking about it, Because the object and the subject, And each of appearance and emptiness, This equal wisdom that does not focus on anything, Does not abide in the nature Of mind and mental factors. Therefore, the wisdom Of placing equanimity on the supreme definite understanding That is drawn out by examination
