I am unworthy, nothing appears. The gateway to gaining trust in this way, Is the path of emptiness and dependent arising. If there is certainty about appearance and emptiness, In the mandala free from decrease and increase, Existence, emptiness, and non-emptiness, etc., Where the nature of phenomena is inconceivable, Deep patience arises from within. Within the scope of a single atom, there are fields equal to atoms, Seeing fields, even in an instant of time, Things appear as eons, With the certainty of true emptiness and illusion, Entering the realm of the Buddha's activity. Therefore, self-appearance is impartial, Without limit, without bias, The ground essence is inconceivable, The nature of phenomena is not established in any way, And the union of appearance and emptiness, etc., The meaning of these mere sectarian terms, Even if one strives and contemplates for a hundred years, If there is no cause of past habituation maturing, Even if one is a great and learned person, It will not be understood in the heart. Therefore, of all the philosophical schools, The depths to which they all lead, The river of hundreds of thousands of excellent explanations of Dharma, The great ocean into which they flow is truly wonderful. Other ways of appearing are uncertain, And appear with changes, The ultimate union of wisdom is, Unerring, seeing the true meaning, unchanging. Regarding the great Madhyamaka free from elaboration, When examining whether there is acceptance or not, The earlier scholars unanimously, Whether it is the self-nature of Madhyamaka, And whether there is existence or non-existence, etc., nothing, There is not, therefore they consider there is no acceptance. In one's own texts, the path and fruit, and, All the establishments of the dependent arising school, Clearly there is acceptance of one's own system, But all the terms are pushed onto others, Contradicting both the words and the meaning. Longchen Rabjam said this: Regarding whether there is acceptance or not in Madhyamaka, The earlier scholars hold to one side, Each view has both advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, in what one accepts, When measuring the reality of ultimate truth, Just as nothing is established in nature, What then is accepted? Therefore, of the reality of philosophical schools, Acceptance, because it is, in times of debate, etc., Like nature itself, there is no acceptance at all. The established schools of subsequent attainment of path and fruit, All the establishments of such and such, Wanting to accept each separately without mixing. From now on, if one can speak in this way, It is said to be the power of my good explanation. Therefore, some scholars of the Land of Snows, Consider the side that has acceptance of one's own system, As the only one.

One should repeatedly and exceedingly cultivate. Furthermore, if the occasions are not distinguished, then the actual meaning will not be accomplished in any way. Therefore, it is difficult to have a definitive acceptance. What is called "the Madhyamika's own system" refers to the ultimate tenet of the Madhyamika. It must be exactly as measured, other than that, it is not one's own system. Why is it that the Madhyamika's own system, when measured, cannot be established? Therefore, if it is accepted because of that, after independently examining it, it is accepted, because reason can propel it, that which is accepted, in the ultimate sense, will be established and able to withstand examination. If it is not an acceptance of one's own system, then it contradicts having an acceptance of oneself. One has both examined and unexamined, two acceptances exist, if both must necessarily be true, then what is called one's own system is those two, is it each individually or both? If it is each individually, then it contradicts the other. Existence is not what is accepted, and non-existence is accepted as existence, then the acceptance called "existence", even in conventionality, is not permissible, because only non-existence is accepted. If one accepts one's own in both, after eliminating what cannot be examined, an acceptance unharmed by reason, it is not because both can withstand examination. Even so, those two, cannot be a collection, if they are a collection, even if understood by examination, there is still a perception of existence as in the unexamined time. Because there is existence, what does examination establish? Conventional examination is not a valid reason. Other than the negation of cutting off the object of negation, if there is no more superior establishment, then on that grasping, the part of appearance, because there is no opportunity, absolutely, in all occasions of view, meditation, and conduct, for one who is minded to view non-existence, why would it not become compatible with the establishment, or also need to be habituated? Therefore, one should know one's own system in this way, as the omniscient one has accepted. If it is a Svatantrika Madhyamika, it must be a union of two great Madhyamika, or a Madhyamika free from elaboration, after establishing it to be in accordance with the wisdom of the noble one's equipoise, because all extremes such as existence and non-existence, are of the nature of complete pacification. The path that takes only emptiness as its object, that two truths fall to one side, therefore, that partial view, is not union of two and free from elaboration. Union of two is existence and non-existence, or appearance and emptiness as equality, because this is the realm of ultimate emptiness, being only the object. Elaboration, existence, non-existence, etc.
