Thinking that it is not the nature of complete purity, he let go and abandoned it. Thus, at midnight, the son of the Victorious One contemplated the Suchness of the fourth instruction, his body neither straight nor crooked, through exhaling and inhaling. The commentary on Nagarjuna says: Having obtained all power, one rejoices with the vajra body. Furthermore, the eight powers are: the power of body and speech, likewise the power of mind, the power of all miraculous powers and qualities, the eight qualities of speaking and doing. Having obtained all those powers, transforming into the body of fearless vajra wisdom, he rejoices by benefiting others as long as samsara exists. Because it is said to contemplate the fourth at midnight, the Victors of the realm of space first emanate a wheel of light, making that continuum suitable as a vessel, then entrusting it to the emanation of the wisdom mudra, entering into equipoise, through the sequence of occasions and nights, directly realizing the co-emergent Suchness, abandoning immovability, although entering into the fourth clear light Suchness, concealing the empowerment of wisdom, it is said to be obtained by contemplating the fourth at midnight. Therefore, even today, the tradition of the lineage of lamas bestowing wisdom empowerment on disciples at midnight remains. The body is straight, some yogis straighten their bodies and meditate, some meditate in a non-straight manner with the lotus posture, etc., some open their eyes and look at paintings, etc., and contemplate, some close their eyes and meditate on the initial practices, etc. Shakya Sengge does none of these, because he has obtained the pervasive Suchness, so there is no need for other behaviors such as moving the body, the external bodily vows and mudras are to be relied upon in order to obtain Suchness and subdue the mind, if Suchness is obtained through the kindness of the lama, then what is the use of those inverted elaborations that cause suffering to the three doors, fatigue from exertion, and distraction from deep samadhi?

Kya te. If one has already found many elephants, why look for the elephant's footprints? So it is said. It is not speaking the Dharma with breath, nor is it not speaking; it is not closing the eyes, nor is it opening the eyes. All is emptiness, wonderful and marvelous, the great fulfiller of beings' hopes, the co-emergent Suchness. Who, having abandoned the faults of attachment and so on, is pure and without any defilement, self-aware and manifest, without conceptualization, the great clear wisdom. The kindness of the Lamas and Buddhas themselves, that is, the kindness of the two seals of Buddha and wisdom. Relying on that, that Suchness can be clearly and completely seen, and even now, the Lama who shows the Suchness of the mind and the Buddha should not be regarded as different. So it is said. From its power, the clear light is the manifestation of purity, so that the three existences of past, future, and present are seen completely in that instant, that is, having seen, the clear light is the holder of purity, that is, without moving from it, with diamond-like samadhi, at the time when the dawn appears, adorned and decorated with the qualities of the body symbolized by the twelve examples of illusion, such as the moon in water and mirages, and seated at the Bodhi tree, Shakya Simha showing the manner of subduing the Maras is the provisional meaning. Ultimately subduing the four Maras and cutting off the four conceptualizations is the ultimate meaning. Shakyamuni, having obtained such supreme perfect enlightenment like a vajra, in order to benefit the beings of the three realms, teaches that Suchness in this supreme tantra, and the manifestation of enlightenment is called the fourth wisdom of Suchness, the unsurpassed. Fifth, entering the mantra path for the first time, and later not relying on other paths, is the instruction: Those who commit the five inexpiable sins, such as killing parents, and those who have little merit, that is, those who are cut off from their lineage, as Nagarjuna said. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, if one does the work of benefiting others, then by the kindness of the Lama, one will obtain it from the fourth true teaching, and at that time one will act as one pleases, and even if one dwells without restraint, this one will do the work of beings in the future.
