The small commentary "Lamp of Union, Jewel" recorded in the commentary on the Five Stages of Guhyasamaja. The small commentary "Lamp of Union, Jewel" recorded in the commentary on the Five Stages of Guhyasamaja. This is the book called "Lamp of Union, Jewel," a small commentary recorded in the commentary on the Five Stages of Guhyasamaja. Om Svasti. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་སྟི།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration:, Chinese literal meaning: Om, auspicious!). He who enters well into the life of infinite things, the glorious Bodhicitta is Vajra. He who is liberated from the extremes of elaboration and non-elaboration, I prostrate to the all-pervading Vajrasattva. The profound meaning of the ocean of tantras is the Guhyasamaja, a box of Vajra jewels and precious stones. The glorious Lord of the Nagas' oral instructions are the five stages that open this profound treasure. Clarifying that, relying on the Naga's Bodhi, the garland of well-spoken jewels, May the Joyful Vajra of Supreme Wisdom, please grant permission to record the commentary. Therefore, here, as prophesied in the Lankavatara Sutra, the great method of secret mantra is understood, and the noble Nagarjuna, who strives to accomplish the perfect benefit of self and others, will explain this text of the five stages. Name meaning. Translation salutation. Treatise meaning. Final meaning. The first is, in Indian language: Pañcakrama (Tibetan: པཉྩ་ཀྲ་མ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Roman transliteration:, Chinese literal meaning: Five Stages). In Tibetan: Five Stages, its object of expression is that there are five stages of the path, so the expressing text is also named after it. The second is, I prostrate to Manjushri Kumara, which is to prostrate to the deity of one's own desire. The third, the meaning of the treatise, has three parts: the order of entering the treatise, the actual treatise, and the activity of completing the treatise. The first is: I prostrate to the protector of all beings, the nature of all Buddhas, the glorious Vajrasattva, the great bliss, the lord of all Tathagatas, and following the king of great yoga tantras, the Guhyasamaja, I will explain the order of reciting the indestructible Vajra of wind mantra. The second, the meaning of the treatise, has three parts: the determination of the two stages, the determination of the five stages, and the determination that it depends on the guru's oral instructions. The first is: In short, etc., if the yogi dwells well in the perfected stage of generation,

For those who desire to attain these five (wisdoms), the Fully Enlightened Buddha has proclaimed this method of gradual practice according to the five stages, like a ladder, relying on the previous stage to enter the next. Just as a person climbing a ladder reaches the top of a tall palace, etc., through the stages of Vajra recitation, etc., one will attain the great Vajradhara, the embodiment of eternal bliss, self, and purity. Secondly, regarding the determination of the five stages: that is, the support for Vajra recitation is the life-force wind, which resides in the heart, and is the nature of Akshobhya (अक्षोभ्य, Akṣobhya, the Immovable, without anger). The downward-clearing wind resides in the anus, and is the nature of Ratnasambhava (रत्नसंभव, Ratnasaṃbhava, the Jewel-born, origin of precious things). The upward-moving wind resides in the throat, and is Amitabha (अमिताभ, Amitābha, Infinite Light). The fire-accompanying wind resides in the navel, and is Amoghasiddhi (अमोघसिद्धि, Amoghasiddhi, Unfailing Accomplishment). The pervasive wind resides in all the joints of the body's limbs, and is Vairochana (वैरोचन, Vairocana, the Illuminator). These are the five root winds. Furthermore, the five branch or near winds are: the moving wind resides in the eye sense, enabling sight; the discriminating wind resides in the ear sense, enabling hearing; the rightly moving wind resides in the nose sense, enabling smell; the supremely moving wind resides in the tongue sense, enabling taste; the definitely moving wind resides in the body sense, enabling touch. These winds are known by the names Dragon or Elephant, Turtle, Partridge, Deva-giving, and Victory over Wealth. Thus, the life-force wind of sentient beings residing in the heart, is the nature of the great elements, possessing the characteristics of coming and going, and stretching and contracting, and is called wind, which is the wind that accomplishes all actions such as pacifying, etc., and is the mount of the eight consciousnesses, generating (the eight consciousnesses), just like a horse and a rider. This wind is the nature of the five winds: life, downward, upward, pervasive, and equalizing. The five branch winds that move in the five senses are Dragon, Turtle, Partridge, Deva-giving, and Victory over Wealth. In total, there are ten (winds) with ten names, which are these ten (winds). The order is: first, by understanding the nature of wind, gradually, by understanding wind as mantra, one correctly enters the nature of mantra, and after realizing the object of the mantra, one learns Vajra recitation. After learning Vajra recitation, finally, through neuter recitation, the yogi will focus on the (deity) possessing the nature of mind, consciousness, and knowledge, thereby attaining mind-isolation. And that is the meaning of mantra, the symbols of mantra, the practice of mantra, and the nature of mantra, these four. First, through prostrations, etc...
