By reciting just once while abiding, one obtains the great Samantabhadra state in the realms of the Buddhas of the three times. All the deities such as Avalokiteśvara, the Buddhas of the three times, and the expansive lotus, and the kings of knowledge, follow and accomplish siddhis. By reciting just a hundred thousand times, the tongue becomes as firm as a vajra. Like Vajradhara, possessing the color of lotus petals, that body is completely pure, indestructible like a vajra, youthful and with all faculties complete, without foul odor, exceedingly fragrant, and supremely pleasing. The voice is melodious, and all beings gaze upon and become a place of offering. After death, in the presence of Amitābha, one is born as a son of the Victorious One, possessing a completely pure body and all qualities, and receives the prophecy of great enlightenment. If one were to exemplify the accumulation of merit from merely reciting this, even if one filled the three thousand great thousand worlds with the seven precious jewels, and filled them with gold and silver flowers, offering them three times each day to the Tathāgatas filling the three thousand great thousand worlds, that would not equal even one-sixteenth of the accumulation of merit from merely reciting this. By reciting this, the limitless clouds of worldly and transworldly offerings pervade all Buddha-fields and never diminish, thus possessing such great virtue. If one sees this dhāraṇī written in a book, or sees it written on a wall, then all karmas, including the five heinous crimes that lead to Avīci hell, are completely purified, and one is reborn in Sukhāvatī (Pure Land). Thereafter, one will never be born from a womb, but until attaining ultimate enlightenment, wherever one is born in the Buddha-fields, one will be born from a lotus, and will remember past lives. The benefits of writing this dhāraṇī are like being able to count the drops of water in an ocean that is eighty-four thousand yojanas wide, and the dust particles of Mount Meru, but the benefits of writing this dhāraṇī and its rituals cannot be counted, it is said. Tadyathā. Oṃ Muni Muni Mahā (藏文,梵文天城體,梵文羅馬擬音,Great Silent One)

Mune Svaha! This is the essence of the Teacher, Bhagavan Shakyamuni, from the "Short Letter Prajnaparamita." All Buddhas arise from this, and through the power of obtaining this dharani, Shakyamuni became a Buddha, and Avalokiteshvara became the supreme Bodhisattva. Just hearing this brings great merit effortlessly, and all karmic obscurations are purified. When practicing this mantra, there will be no obstacles, and it will be accomplished. It is said that reciting it once purifies all the sins committed for eighty million kotis of kalpas. The Dharani of the King of Glory, the Tathagata Vairochana, who completely purifies all evil destinies: Namo Bhagavate Sarva Durgati Parishodhana Rajaya Tathagataya Arhate Samyak-sambuddhaya Tadyatha Om Shodhane Shodhane Sarva Papam Vishodhane Shuddhe Vishuddhe Sarva Karma Avarana Vishuddhe Svaha! From the Tantra of the King of Glory Who Purifies the Evil Destinies, just remembering this dharani can easily liberate even beings with small merit from all causes of evil destinies. If one merely hears, holds, recites, or writes this mantra and wears it on the body, one will avoid the eight untimely deaths in this life, and the associated dream appearances, and all signs related to evil destinies will not even appear in dreams. What need is there to mention entering the mandala of this mantra and reciting and meditating? They will not approach any sins and will not fall into evil destinies. If the body of a dead being, whoever it may be, is placed in the mandala and empowered, they will be liberated from evil destinies and be born into the race of gods, never to regress, and will experience all the benefits and happiness of the world and beyond. The name of that Tathagata and this dharani will not enter the ears of those who do not possess the ten virtues, whose minds are not steadfast, who do not desire many non-regressing qualities, and who do not rely on the wisdom of the all-knowing. It is said that whoever hears it will undoubtedly become a vessel for attaining Buddhahood. Reciting the name of the Lord of Mantras, the Tathagata, and prostrating, is the root awareness.
