May everyone be happy! Clarity and emptiness are not contradictory, so it is okay to hold on to them. Those who hold the lineage of teaching and explanation, do not need to have small doubts. Since it is pure from the beginning, it is reasonable for both good and bad. Holders of knowledge, yogis, do not need to be attached to good. Even if you cultivate through transformation, the innate wisdom will appear. Realized old people, do not need to be stubborn. It is okay to acknowledge the freedom from elaboration of existence and non-existence. Those who are rigid in their thinking, do not be agitated. Thus, without destroying external objects, it is unreasonable to acknowledge that self-nature is not established, do not be upset, you two schools of thought who are attached to external objects, the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika. Without destroying or abandoning external objects, be happy with this state of emptiness of self-nature, similarly, the Mind-Only school who are attached to self-awareness, even if they think that without self-awareness, it is unreasonable to measure external objects with valid cognition. Even if there is no clinging appearance of only looking inward, it is reasonable to measure external objects with valid cognition, so all you Mind-Only proponents be happy, even if it is not established by its own characteristics in ultimate truth. But in conventional truth, just by establishing names and terms, various interdependent relationships appear, appearing without mixing with each other. May all three abbots of Shar be happy! The essence of mind is emptiness, and its nature is clarity, the two are not contradictory, it is okay to establish them as union, those who hold the lineage of teaching and explanation of the Sakya path and its fruit, do not need to have small doubts. All phenomena are pure from the beginning or from the origin, but in conventional truth, it is reasonable to make distinctions of samsara and nirvana, good and bad. Nyingma holders of knowledge, liberated ones, do not need to think that my view is the highest and be attached to good. Even if you cultivate through transformation, the innate great seal will appear. Realized old people, do not be stubborn and expect the unadulterated wisdom from the very beginning. It is okay to acknowledge such a view as the Great Madhyamaka self-school, which is the way of freedom from the elaboration of existence and non-existence and not clinging to any place. Those who are rigid in their thinking and attached to one side, do not generate the agitation of attachment and aversion, like the example of "surpassing everything and not contradicting everything", understanding that all teachings are not contradictory, is the key point to liberation. Fourth, however, those who have little study of scriptures, may not understand the usage of terms. I am not disrespectful to you. If I have offended

Please forgive me. Thus, the head, gestures, and completion, etc., are the same in meaning. However, those who have little learning in the vast scriptures cling to their own sectarian views, and do not understand that the ways of using terms are different. They may regard all the classifications of Sutra, Tantra, and philosophical schools taught by the Victorious One as pieces of barley fodder, divided into incompatible fragments. I, Rolpai Dorje, speak truthfully according to the meaning seen by the correct wisdom, as instructed by the Victorious One. I have no disrespect for you at all. If you are displeased because it does not agree with your own sectarian views, please forgive me. This is an advice to all aspects of oneself and others. Fourth, there are four ways to generate ease of mind: generating ease of mind by contemplating the pure scriptures, which are the causes for the path to arise in the mind; generating ease of mind by contemplating the nature of one's own realization; generating ease of mind by contemplating the kind root and lineage lamas; and generating ease of mind by contemplating the benefit and happiness of all mother sentient beings. The first is: Although I am not an all-knowing wise man, I am a good horse of the ancestral scriptures. Because I am skilled in riding with constant and respectful practice, I hope to be liberated from the dangerous path of clinging to one side. This says that although I, the author, am not a wise man who can explain all the views of Sakya, Nyingma, Gelug, etc., without contradicting each other, like the immaculate scripture steeds of the ancestral Nagarjuna and his sons and the Second Victorious One, by the power of my own constant and respectful practice, and by being skilled in riding, I can be liberated from the narrow and ignorant dangerous path of clinging to one side, thinking, "This is mine, not others." It means that one does not have to stay in a dangerous place that cannot be crossed. The second is: There is no need to search, because the searcher is oneself. Do not cling to truth, because it is itself false. Do not block falsehood, because truth is oneself. One can rest in neither annihilation nor permanence. It means that there is no need to search for emptiness from afar, because one must realize the Dharma nature that is inseparable from the searcher. Because one sees that all appearances are empty of inherent existence, one does not cling to the truth of all appearances, because all appearances are as they are.
