Whether it is established or not is set aside for the moment. The explanation of collection, the explanation of classification, are placed among the ten places and eight places that the wise should know. First, the meaning of impermanence, etc., has been explained. Because the phenomena of samsara with outflows, in themselves, do not have permanence, etc., therefore, clinging to permanence, happiness, self, and what belongs to self are inverted cognitions, and the object of their clinging, because it does not exist in the thing itself, is called inverted. Conversely, impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness are not inverted and have true meaning. So, how are the meanings of impermanence, etc., established for the three natures? The meaning of impermanence is established as follows: because the imputed is the meaning of non-entity. Permanence must exist at all times and places, but it does not, which is only from the perspective of being the opposite of things that exist at all times and places. Even on the imputed, the meaning of the term impermanence can be obtained, and there is no third between the opposites of permanence and impermanence. The imputed is so established precisely because it is not permanent. The dependent consciousness is of the nature of arising and ceasing in an instant, so it is the nature of impermanence. The perfectly established is the meaning of the state of being previously with defilements and later without defilements. From the perspective of appearance, due to being related to others, it is only in a state of impermanence, so it is permissible to use the term impermanence. Therefore, it should be known that the three reasons for establishing the term impermanence are applied to the three fundamental suchnesses in order. Similarly, the nature of suffering is also like that. Because on the imputed, it is clung to as real, thereby enduring various kinds of suffering, and, the dependent is in accordance with the nature of the three sufferings, and the perfectly established is established from the perspective of the relationship between suffering and the subject and the nature of phenomena. Here, apart from the former two, it is considered that the perfectly established is the way to establish the meaning of suffering. Similarly, the imputed is empty because it does not exist in itself. The dependent, although it exists, is not the thing as it appears, or it is not the thing as it is imputed, so it is empty. The perfectly established is considered to be empty by nature, and the nature of emptiness itself is called the perfectly established.
