Because their principles are established without any inversion, they represent Suchness. How can all dharmas be gathered into the fundamental Suchness, which is shown as the three aspects of nature, and the Suchness of the characteristics that represent these three? For these three, the meaning of truth, such as impermanence, which is not inverted, or the Suchness of characteristics, is established. For these three, the Suchness of the result and cause of perfect enlightenment is separately established. For these three, the Suchness of gross and subtle is separately established. For these three, the Suchness of fame is separately established. For these three, the Suchness of whether or not they are objects of complete purity is separately established. Within these three, the Suchness of the five dharmas combined is separately established. From these three, the Suchness of the seven divisions, such as entry, is separately established. For these three, the Suchness of the wise is separately established. Therefore, through the ten aspects of Suchness, starting from the three aspects of nature, all dharmas should be known. This Suchness of the wise has ten internal distinctions, and it becomes the antidote to the ten different ways of clinging to self that should be abandoned. Second, the detailed explanation includes: the Suchness of the three fundamental aspects of nature that are represented, and the explanation of the characteristics of these three, and the display of the eight categories of their classifications, these three parts. First, it is shown through the three aspects of nature, etc. Because all the dharmas that are to be known are contained in these three, it is called the fundamental Suchness. It is also what needs to be determined by the remaining Suchness. What is it? It is the three aspects of nature, which are the three names called the completely imputed, the other-dependent, and the thoroughly established. Although children grasp at the two selves with a mistaken mind, they are always non-existent in their own nature, that is, they have never existed, and are called the completely imputed. Although in the face of complete imputation, there appear to be two graspers and grasped, the consciousness that is not established as two in the way it appears is called other-dependent, because it is the basis for the arising of the delusion of complete imputation. The Suchness that exists in the nature of emptiness of two, and in which there are no two graspers and grasped, is the thoroughly established or the reality. Therefore, the nature of the completely imputed, etc., is divided into three.

Aspiration. Secondly, this is indicated by dharma, etc. How are the characteristics of these three natures individually? They should be understood through the way the cognizing consciousness apprehends them in accordance with reality. Because, with regard to the nature of an object, without adding or detracting, the way the consciousness that enters into it as it is apprehends it, the characteristic of the object must also abide in that way. Therefore, the way the cognizing consciousness apprehends it is what expresses and indicates the characteristic of the object. What is that? If one understands the nature of the completely imputed, one will not have the superimposition that phenomena and persons exist substantially, nor the view that denies their existence in name, and that is said to be the characteristic of the suchness of the completely imputed. Although this is the cognizer of that characteristic, the name of the object's characteristic is given because it is based on this cognizer that one distinguishes and understands that the characteristic of this object is such and such. Without relying on it, the characteristic itself can never be established, and there is no separate characteristic that is established as a property of external objects. It is said in order to express the profound meaning that it is only posited by internal conceptualization. Without the establishment of the two graspers, it exists only in the aspect of complete imputation, and that is its characteristic. And understanding it in that way is the wisdom that enters into that characteristic without error. Similarly, if one understands the nature of the dependent, one will not have the superimposition that the two, grasper and grasped, exist substantially and are different, nor the view that denies their existence in name, and that is its characteristic. The understanding should be as explained before. If one understands the nature of the thoroughly established, one will not have the superimposition that the two, grasper and grasped, exist, nor the view that denies emptiness, and that is its characteristic. Therefore, with regard to these three natures, if one ascertains the characteristic of "if one understands what" as it is, one will not have the evil thought of adding or detracting, and one should understand that the meaning determined by the wisdom free from adding or detracting is the own-characteristic of those objects. Third, divided into: establishing as the true meaning, establishing as cause and effect, establishing as coarse and subtle, establishing as the meaning of fame, the object of speech.
