In terms of time, it depends on whether or not other factors are considered. From the perspective of faculties, there are the third and fourth types, although both have two aspects, due to the greater inclination of faith and the greater prominence of wisdom, hence the distinction between dull and sharp faculties. From the perspective of meditative absorption, there is the fifth type, because one is able to directly realize the cessation attainment with the body. From the perspective of liberation from afflictions, there is the sixth type, because through the wisdom that realizes selflessness, one is liberated from the afflictions of the three realms. The combination of meditative absorption and liberation is the seventh type, because it is established that one is liberated from both aspects of meditative absorption and afflictive obscurations through the power of concentration and wisdom. Second, the condensation into six types: Although they are seven in name, they are actually six, namely, in the order of sharp and dull faculties, the three paths of seeing, cultivation, and no more learning, there are the faith-follower, the dharma-follower, the seeing-attainer liberated by faith, and between timely and untimely liberation, there are two of each, so there are six. The latter three are divided because the latter two are condensed into two. If they are distinguished by faculties, lineage, etc., there will be more. Second, the detailed explanation of the two liberations: Whoever obtains the cessation attainment based on actual meditative concentration is liberated from both aspects, namely, wisdom liberates from afflictive obscurations, and concentration liberates from the obscurations of liberation, such as forgetting instructions, etc., and the inability to enter into the meditative absorption of each of the formless realms, which is the obscuration of meditative absorption, because both are abandoned. The wisdom that relies on the invincible liberates only from the afflictive obscurations of the three realms, and that is liberation by wisdom, because it is one of the two aspects of liberation. If these two are condensed into two, then the obscuration of meditative absorption is the obscuration of knowledge. The two liberations and the one liberation are called the adorned Arhat and the unadorned Arhat. Third, incidentally examining by what these learners and non-learners are perfected: The learner who is perfected by meditative absorption is the body-witnesser who does not return, the one who is perfected by faculties is the seeing-attainer, and the one who is perfected by the result is the one who abides in the result of not returning. Therefore, these three dharmas are called the complete learner, as it is said in the sutra: "Here, whoever has abandoned the five afflictions."

The complete training of one who possesses the Dharma and cannot be robbed. Thus, the five afflictions and the five final concordant factors are abandoned, resulting in the completion of the fruit. That which cannot be robbed of what has been learned is obtained through the path of seeing, and is therefore completed by the faculty. The cessation of dwelling in bliss of the seen Dharma, which is associated with the manifestation of the body, is through meditative absorption. Therefore, it is impossible to be completed by the two, faculty and absorption, or by absorption alone. Others are completed by one, two, or three factors as appropriate. Completion by the faculty alone is the noble one with attachment who has attained the path of seeing. The two, faculty and meditative absorption, completely perfect the path of no more learning, but since there is no path of no more learning that has not perfected its fruit, it is not discussed. Completion by the faculty, wisdom liberation, is not associated with the liberation in due time. Completion by meditative absorption is liberation from both aspects of liberation in due time. Completion by both faculty and absorption is liberation from both aspects, and is not associated with liberation in due time. This summarizes all beings into two categories, those who are learning and those who are not, and examines what makes their Dharma complete. This is done by the various distinctions between those who are learning and those who are not. Completion means that the causes of their completion must be complete, while completion by one or two factors is illustrated by examples. Fourth, in the nature of the path of direct realization of truth, there are three aspects: general, specific, and other explanations relevant to the occasion. The first has two aspects: direct and incidental. First, regarding the path, there are many statements such as the past path, the non-past path, the path of seeing, the path of meditation, the path of no more learning, the path of application, the path of no interval, the path of liberation, and the special path. If these are summarized, how many are there? In short, there are four paths: special, liberation, no interval, and application. This is an excerpt and translation, and should be understood as the four paths: application, no interval, liberation, and special. The first is the cause of the path of no interval. The second is what directly harms the obscurations. The third is the first to arise after being liberated from the obscurations. The fourth is the path of liberation from then on. If we take the path of seeing as an example, then the concordant factors of ascertainment, the eight acceptances and the knowledges, and the paths of meditation are in order. Among these, the first two are the path to go to the palace of liberation, and the latter two are that.
