Therefore. Secondly, when transferring the faculties, where does one transfer to? There is no transfer of faculties on the path of seeing, because it is a continuous state of equanimity, and there is no activity. Therefore, ordinary beings, trainees with faith, and non-trainees transfer during the time of practice. Faith only transfers through the uncontaminated. For ordinary people, it does not contradict relying on any aspect of calmness or intensity, because one should think, "I must sharpen my faculties," and gradually transfer through the uninterrupted path and the path of liberation. Thirdly, the general distinctions of decline. Who has these two? Firstly, even in the sutras, it is said that an Arhat who is immovable declines from the bliss of dwelling in the present Dharma. How can that be immovable? There is a difference. There are three types of complete decline: declining from the attainment of qualities already attained, declining from qualities not yet attained, and declining from enjoying qualities already attained. It should be known that there are three types of complete decline: declining from possessing the latter two. It is like saying that a naturally foolish person declines in wisdom. Secondly, there are two aspects: the actual and the dispelling of doubts. Firstly, the teacher, the Buddha, engages in the benefit of sentient beings, so although he attains the qualities of the bliss of dwelling in the present Dharma, such as cessation, he does not manifest them. Therefore, it is said that the decline is the last, the decline from enjoyment. An immovable Arhat also has intermediate and final declines, because he has not attained the unique qualities of the Buddha, etc. Other than these, the five types of Arhats, trainees on the path of cultivation, ordinary beings, and dull-witted beings have three types of decline. Therefore, the Arhat who has the quality of immovability is said to decline from the bliss of dwelling in the present Dharma, which is a decline from enjoyment, and immovability is from liberation. The sutra says that with five conditions and five causes, an Arhat liberated by time will completely decline. What are the five? Engaging in the extreme of actions. Engaging in speech. Engaging in disputes. Possessing the activity of wandering far away. Being afflicted by a prolonged illness. Because it is said that the Vaibhashikas say that seeing an Arhat as different is declining from both the Arhat and the fruit. The Sutrantikas and others say that the Arhat who declines is referring to the time of training. The higher ones are the grounds for abandonment through meditation.

It is said that it is because ignorance has not been abandoned, that is the meaning. Second, if an Arhat dies due to falling away, will he be reborn in samsara again? If one completely falls away from the fruit, there will be no death or transference while falling away, even if a slight memory loss occurs, memory will be restored because it can be restored. One will not engage in actions such as killing, which are contrary to the cause and effect and place of falling away, because the uncontaminated path has manifested, and there will be no opportunity for a long time, because memory arises quickly, just as a strong man does not stumble even if he slips. Third, in explaining the difficult-to-understand manner of transferring faculties in detail, there are three ways: transferring at the time of the path, transferring by relying on what, and transferring by relying on what ground. The first way is divided into two: the main text and the explanation of whether the path is contaminated or uncontaminated. First, if someone with the potential for realization transfers without wavering, then he transfers through eighteen ways: nine liberation paths and nine uninterrupted paths. Non-learners with dull faculties, through learning and non-learning, because they are very accustomed to it, it is difficult to abandon. That is to say, the transference of the potential for realization below without wavering can be taken as an example. The transference of an Arhat is also the same, because the faculties of his own path are very stable through the two paths. If a learner who is devoted to faith realizes upon seeing the path, then he will only arise in one uninterrupted path and one liberation path, because he is less accustomed to it and it is easy to abandon. The joining path of both learners and non-learners is only one. Second, the uninterrupted path and the liberation path for taming the faculties, if they are noble ones, then they are only uncontaminated, because if the path to be abandoned is also uncontaminated, then it will not be abandoned because it is inferior. Ordinary beings transfer through contaminated paths. Second, the transference of faculties can only increase and transfer if there is a possibility of falling away within the human realm, but not in other realms, because the lower realms do not rely on the path, there is no falling away above, and those in the desire realm who see the truth are only sharp faculties because their situation is superior and they are delighted. Third, it is divided into two: what ground do non-learners rely on to transfer, and what ground do learners rely on to transfer. First, if it is a non-learner taming faculties, then he relies on the nine uncontaminated grounds, because its fruit may be encompassed by the nine grounds.
