Second, regarding the way of relying on the six grounds, and the two reasons for not relying on other grounds. First, the transformation of faculties is similar to the way of attaining the fruit. If it is a learner who is a once-returner, then it is not capable, and if it is a non-returner, then it relies on the six dhyana grounds, and does not rely on the formless realms. Second, what is the reason why the learner does not rely on other grounds? Because the faculties increase, abandoning the special fruits of the once-returner and non-returner, which are gathered by dull faculties, and attaining only the coarse fruit gathered by sharp faculties, and because of the separation by abandoning the final similar part of the non-returner, and because there is no object of desire, therefore there is no path of seeing there. Because the coarse fruit of the non-returner and so on are not gathered by the formless realms. Second, incidentally, there are other divisions of noble individuals, divided into nine types and divided into seven types. First, divided into nine types, there are two types: the actual division and the reason for it. First, again, those Arhats are divided into nine types: the two types of Buddhas and Pratyekabuddhas, and the five types above, such as the Dharma practitioners who completely degenerate from the Hearers, plus the two types of Dharma practitioners who arise from practicing non-regression, and those who do not regress from the beginning, making seven in total. Among them, the two Buddhas are: It is only the difference of non-regression, and it is also liberation from both parts. Second, the reason for dividing them into nine types is that each of the three faculties, dull, medium, and sharp, is further divided into three, so there are nine types. That is, from the small dull one of the Dharma practitioners who degenerate, etc., to the medium great one of the non-regressors who arise from practice, counting three each, and finally the one who does not regress by nature, and the three Pratyekabuddhas and Buddhas are the small, medium, and large of the sharp faculties. Second, there are three types: general, specific, and incidental. First, there are two types: divided into seven types and summarized into six types. First, there are two types: actual and reason. First, again, all noble individuals are summarized into seven types, and these seven individuals are: the faith-follower, the Dharma-follower, the faith-understander, the sight-attainer, the body-witnesser, the wisdom-liberated, and the both-parts-liberated. The two Buddhas are included in the seventh. Second, that is, from the practice done by the path of cultivation, the first two, that is, the path of application, etc.
