Liberation through wisdom, and liberation from both aspects. Fourth, the two aspects of entering and abiding in Arhatship. First, the Non-returner, from the detachment from one of the first dhyana onwards, up to the peak of existence. That is, from the exhaustion of the eight parts of the peak of existence's afflictions downwards, this is entering into Arhatship itself, and the uninterrupted path that abandons the ninth affliction of the peak of existence is also entering into Arhatship. This uninterrupted path is called the Vajra-like Samadhi. Because the common cause of all previous paths has increased, it is more powerful than all uninterrupted paths, and having become the ultimate peak, it is able to destroy the subtle increases of the three realms, and is like a vajra that cannot be resisted by anything. It is divided into nine by grounds, four by objects, and sixteen by aspects. If divided by all three of ground, object, and aspect, it is extremely numerous. The invincible dependent Vajra Samadhi does not focus on the contaminated of the lower grounds, but on the eight aspects of the knowledge of the aftermath that focuses solely on the suffering and origin of the peak of existence. There are thirty-six that focus on the truth of cessation, because it is possible to focus on the cessation of all grounds. That is, the four Dharma knowledges that focus on the cessation of desire, and the four subsequent knowledges that focus on the cessation of the upper eight, are eight sets. There are eight object of the path, which are the four Dharma knowledges that focus on the path of desire, and the four subsequent knowledges that focus on the general path of the upper realms. Thus, there are fifty-two Vajra Samadhis included in the first approximation. Likewise, it should be known that the remaining five grounds also rely on this. Those included in the first three formless realms are, in order, twenty-eight, twenty-four, and twenty, because they do not focus on the path of desire, and the cessation of the lower grounds. The path is mutual Cause, therefore, the path of the six and nine grounds is its object of practice. As it is said, the antidote path of the lower form realm focuses on the general path. Thus, there are three hundred and twelve included in the six dhyana grounds, and two in the first three formless realms, totaling three hundred and eighty-four, and if they are transformed by the six lineages and three faculties, they will become six thousand nine hundred and twelve. If some Abhidharma masters think that the truth of the path is also like the truth of cessation, focusing on each ground, then the upper realm

Since the four subsequent cognitions that focus on the general path do not arise, there are four dharma cognitions that focus on the truth of the path of the nine grounds, thirty-two subsequent cognitions, that is, eighty each for the six dhyana grounds, totaling four hundred and eighty. For the first three formless realms, focusing on the truth of the path of their own and higher grounds, adding twelve, eight, and four, respectively forty, thirty-two, and twenty-four, thus becoming ninety-six, so all together it becomes five hundred and seventy-six. These, through the differences of lineage and faculties, multiplied by six and three, are ten thousand three hundred and sixty-eight. Second, when the ninth cultivation abandonment of the peak of existence, the attainment of cessation and the simultaneous arising of the knowledge of the path of liberation cessation, that is called the non-learner and Arhat. The Arhat's liberation by time is fivefold by lineage, threefold by faculty, and twenty-ninefold by basis, and so on. Persons are four pairs, eight individuals. Second, explaining other distinctions of the fruits of the noble person. Regarding the general classification of the fruits of the asceticism to be attained by the noble person, and the classification of the ultimate fruit, the Arhat, there are two types. The first type has two divisions: the cause of attainment and the distinction of the fruit thus attained. The first has two divisions: by which path is it attained, and based on which ground is it attained. The first has two divisions: the actual and the explanation of what difference there is between the two paths and the noble one who is free from attachment. The first: through the path beyond the world, it is certain to be free from attachment from the peak of existence, and from all other grounds, there are two kinds of freedom from attachment, transcendent and non-transcendent. The second has two divisions: the actual and the refutation of others' assertions. The first: through worldly meditation, for the noble one who is free from attachment, there are also two kinds of attainment of freedom from attachment, transcendent and non-transcendent, for if there were not, the noble one would be prone to the arising of afflictions. The second: some assert that even by abandoning through the path beyond the world, both contaminated and uncontaminated attainments of freedom from attachment are drawn forth, and if it does not draw forth worldly attainment of freedom from attachment, then when a dull-witted non-returner, who has no place of birth free from attachment from the previous transcendent path, transforms into a sharp-witted one relying on the mind of meditation, since the previous path has been exhausted, if there is also no worldly attainment of freedom from attachment, then he will be associated with afflictions such as infinite space.
