If asked how to express it? Because the noble ones do not enter the non-noble, the noble ones enter into virtue, and because they are free from desire and attachment, they abandon non-virtue, therefore the non-noble do not enter into non-virtue, hence they are noble. Those who have reached a certain point do not return from it, so only they abide in the conduct of the noble ones. Ordinary beings and learners with attachments do not have this, and although the non-learners are noble, they do not go to the higher realms. So it is said. Then the sutra says: What is a noble person? It means possessing the right view of a learner up to samadhi. As it is said, it refers to the learners with attachments, who have obtained the vows of not killing, etc., up to drinking alcohol, and have abandoned most non-virtues, so it refers to the noble ones in name. Here it speaks of the noble ones who are not in name, so there is no contradiction. The third is divided into two types: direct statement and incidental statement. First, if one sees the noble truth in the first life in the desire realm, and then obtains the non-returner fruit in the desire realm in the later life, are there also differences such as intermediate passing? The answer is: no. Any noble non-returner who has completed his life in the desire realm does not go to other realms, because he enters Nirvana in the life in which he obtained the non-returner fruit. Moreover, because the desire realm has much suffering, he is extremely disgusted and disillusioned, so in that life, or in the second life, he is born in the desire realm, obtains the non-returner fruit, and then obtains the Arhat fruit. The noble one who has completed his life in the form realm sometimes goes to other formless realms, such as going to the highest peak of existence in the upper realm. This says that the gradual fruit is very difficult, so it is known that the Light Master said that the non-returner who is the preliminary practice of detachment from attachment may go to the upper realm. Then the Sutra Requested by Indra says: If I finally decline, may I be born in the Akaniṣṭha heaven. May I be born in that place, which is famous far and wide. O Bhagavan, I am a stream-enterer, a Sugata stream-enterer. Thus it is also said that he himself is a stream-enterer. From there, may I be reborn as a human and enter Nirvana. If I do not attain Nirvana there, may I be born in the form realm. Thus he made a wish. The Teacher also said: Well done, Indra, abide in diligence. After saying this, he did not make a denial.

Because of the act, it contradicts it. If it is said that a hundred thousand are born in the human realm because he is a noble being who has attained a complete lifespan in the desire realm. Then, this is because a hundred thousand do not understand the fault of the Dharma. The Blessed One did not forbid it because it was to make a hundred thousand happy from the sorrow of death omens, this is the explanation of the Vaibhashikas. Secondly, the noble beings who have attained a complete lifespan in the desire realm and the noble beings who are born in the two upper realms are completely lost, and the transfer of faculties is also not established, because they have obtained a special body that is the basis of the path that is in accordance with the manifestation of the path, so they will not be completely lost. Because they have become familiar with the path in many lifetimes, the fruits of the homogeneous cause of wisdom and other faculties have become special, so there is no transfer of faculties. Therefore, because the faculties are completely mature, the transfer of faculties is also not established, and they will not go to other realms. Why do learners with attachment not pass away from sorrow in the intermediate state? Because the antidotes of the upper realms are not mixed by the teachers, so they will not appear, and the subtle increase of defilements is also not very small, so it is only taught to those who are free from attachment. The Vaibhashikas say that because Nirvana needs to abandon the non-virtue of the desire realm and all the unmentioned obscurations of the upper realms, and the fruits of the Shramanas need the stream-enterer to obtain three, or the once-returner to obtain two, etc., so it is difficult to transcend the desire realm, so it cannot be done in the intermediate state. Secondly, the method of meditating on absorption on the cause, and the necessity of meditating in this way. Firstly, alternating practice is based on the actual basis of the fourth dhyana, thereby alternating between contaminated and uncontaminated, because it is free from eight faults. After becoming accustomed to it, it is also alternated with the actual basis of the first dhyana, etc. An Arhat or a non-returner, first the uncontaminated constant of the fourth dhyana, then the contaminated constant, and then the uncontaminated constant, alternating in a constant manner. Then, like before, alternating two moments, these are the application. When three moments enter or mix without interruption, when it is possible to alternate, it is said that the actual basis is accomplished. The teacher said that because no one other than the Buddha can alternate moments, it is suitable for constant alternating practice. Secondly, why alternate?
