In that case, one refers to the accumulation of merit, which causes the manifestations in samsara to increase and attain the perfect wealth of the excellent Indra, Brahma, wheel-turning king, etc. The other refers to the accumulation of wisdom, which, even when dwelling in samsara, enters samsara without being stained by the faults of samsara, karma, and afflictions. What are the two accumulations? The two accumulations include the six perfections, and the six perfections also include the two accumulations. Generosity makes enjoyment perfect, and discipline obtains the perfect body of gods and humans. These two are the accumulation of merit. The last, the perfection of wisdom, is the accumulation of wisdom, because it realizes that all phenomena are empty and is not stained by afflictions. Furthermore, patience, diligence, and meditation all belong to both the accumulation of merit and wisdom. Not caring about harm, and the patience of enduring suffering are both the accumulation of merit, while the patience of definitely understanding the Dharma is included in the accumulation of wisdom. As for diligence, the diligence of helping other beings plow fields, do business, etc., is merit, and the diligence of relying on virtuous friends, and listening to, contemplating, and practicing the sacred Dharma is included in the accumulation of wisdom. As for meditation, engaging in activities that benefit sentient beings with worldly meditation and uncontaminated meditation is the accumulation of merit, and cultivating non-conceptual samadhi based on meditation is included in the accumulation of wisdom. All five, such as generosity, are completely dedicated to attaining the wisdom of omniscience, and if they are grasped by the wisdom that does not fixate on the three spheres, then everything will be transformed into the accumulation of wisdom. Furthermore, confessing sins, rejoicing in merit, and requesting the turning of the wheel of Dharma are also the accumulation of merit. The three objects of merit, such as generosity, discipline, and meditation, also belong to the accumulation of merit. What cause and condition will lead to the realization of wisdom? Relying on a virtuous friend, and...

Gathering together, performing service and listening to the Dharma, etc., are collected into the accumulation of wisdom. The definition of accumulation is that through continuous meditation, one repeatedly performs virtuous deeds. In the so-called "Saṃbhāra" (藏文,梵文天城体:सम्भार,梵文罗马拟音:saṃbhāra,汉语字面意思:资粮), "Saṃ" (藏文,梵文天城体:सम्,梵文罗马拟音:saṃ,汉语字面意思:桑) is the sound of "Sarangta," meaning continuous; "Bhā" (藏文) is the meaning of "Bhāvena," meaning meditation; "Ra" (藏文) is the meaning of "Āhāra" (藏文,梵文天城体:आहार,梵文罗马拟音:āhāra,汉语字面意思:食物), meaning to fully accomplish. Therefore, by repeatedly meditating on the virtuous deeds of the six pāramitās such as giving, one can accomplish the three bodies of the Buddha, which is called accumulation. The two accumulations of a steadfast Bodhisattva, whichever they may be, are the cause of accomplishing all benefits for oneself and others, and that is its function. The classification of accumulations is that from the stage of an ordinary being, one accumulates the accumulation of intention and practice of the most excellent Dharma in the world, which enters the first bhūmi, and is accumulated in order to obtain it. The accumulation accumulated from the second to the sixth bhūmi enters the seventh bhūmi, the signless bhūmi, and is accumulated in order to obtain it. When the seventh bhūmi is obtained, one does not consider the various Dharmas such as the sutras to have different meanings, nor does one make distinctions, therefore it is called signless. The accumulation of merit and wisdom of the seventh bhūmi person is for the purpose of spontaneously accomplishing the two accumulations in the eighth and ninth bhūmis. Accumulating the two accumulations in the eighth and ninth bhūmis is for the purpose of obtaining the tenth bhūmi, which is the empowerment by the Buddhas as Dharma kings. Accumulating the two accumulations in the tenth bhūmi is for the purpose of obtaining the ultimate Buddhahood, therefore steadfast Bodhisattvas cultivate the accumulation of merit and wisdom in this way. Secondly, meditation or the nature of the path, broadly speaking, is the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and in brief, it is the teaching of śamatha and vipaśyanā. First, in the first part of the teaching of the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment in seven sections, the wise Bodhisattva meditates on the four mindfulnesses of body, feeling, mind, and Dharma, in fourteen ways that are different from the meditation of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, therefore the Bodhisattva's meditation on the four mindfulnesses is more excellent than that of other śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas. What are these fourteen ways? That is, the support has a special aspect, the antidote has a special aspect, and likewise,
