Realizing that one's own nature is like the clear light of the sky, and realizing that all defiled and purified dharmas are sudden, like clouds and fog appearing in the sky, and like the clearing of clouds and fog, they are not the nature of the mind, but arise suddenly due to the power of conditions, appearing like illusions, thereby completely knowing the nature of the body and so on, which is particularly excellent. The difference in rebirth is that the mindfulness meditation of the Shravakas is to prevent rebirth in Samsara, while Bodhisattvas, although they do not take rebirth due to the karma and afflictions of attachment to Samsara, they willingly take rebirth as Indra, Brahma, Chakravartin, etc. for the benefit of sentient beings, possessing perfect bodies and enjoyments, thereby accomplishing the benefit of others, but they do not generate afflictions and attachments, etc. Even if they take rebirth as inferior ordinary beings and animals, etc., they take rebirth without being discouraged, degenerated, or afflicted, so it is particularly excellent. The difference of becoming a great measure is that Bodhisattvas are those with sharp natural faculties, and mindfulness meditation is also practiced for the sake of both self and others, and they are practitioners who meditate on the non-self of both persons and dharmas. Therefore, even if they practice briefly in the state of ordinary beings, although the meditation is small because they have not attained the noble stage, it is still superior to the mindfulness meditation of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and it becomes great. Being superior with the aspect of excellence is that after attaining the eighth Bhumi, the four mindfulnesses are completely practiced, and when it is spontaneously accomplished without effort, the Bodhisattva meditates with the aspect of being mixed with others and closely mixed, which is the most excellent. When one Bodhisattva of the eighth Bhumi practices the four mindfulnesses, the Bodhisattvas of other Bhumis also practice them, and when others practice, oneself also practices, so from this aspect it is called mixed and closely mixed, that is, integrated into one meaning. Alternatively, the moment of first attaining the eighth Bhumi from the seventh Bhumi is called mixed, and from the second moment until not entering the ninth Bhumi is called closely mixed, as stated in the commentaries. The difference in meditation is that the Bodhisattva's practice of mindfulness is for the sake of great compassion that does not abandon all sentient beings, and the wisdom of realizing both non-self.

Because of being completely accomplished by great causes, it is superior to the mindfulness meditation of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. The distinction of perfectly accomplishing the result is: Hearers and Solitary Realizers, by meditating on mindfulness, attain the four fruits such as Stream-enterer. Bodhisattvas, by meditating on the four close placements of mindfulness, attain the ten bhumis, and by attaining the fruit of the Buddha's bhumi, it is particularly excellent. Secondly, the meditation on the four right abandonments is taught in five verses. The four right abandonments of steadfast Bodhisattvas are not the same as other sentient beings, Hearers, and Solitary Realizers, because they are meditated for the benefit of all sentient beings, and the nature of what is meditated differs in the four close placements of mindfulness. The four right abandonments are: not to generate unwholesome and sinful dharmas that have not arisen; to abandon unwholesome and sinful dharmas that have arisen; to generate wholesome dharmas that have not arisen; and to increase wholesome dharmas that have arisen. If one asks, what are these four right abandonments meditated as a remedy for? They are meditated as a remedy for the faults that are contrary to the four close placements of mindfulness. The fourteen aspects, such as the basis, of the Bodhisattva's four close placements of mindfulness have already been explained, in order to abandon those faults that are contrary to them. Relying on the hearing, thinking, and meditating on the Dharma of the Great Vehicle, the fault that is contrary to it is not listening, not thinking, and not meditating on the Dharma of the Great Vehicle. Similarly, one should know that the faults that are contrary to the remedy, from the aspects of purity, happiness, permanence, and self of Hearers and Solitary Realizers, to not attaining the ten bhumis and the Buddha's bhumi, are the faults that are contrary to accomplishment. This briefly explains the meaning of the four right abandonments. The detailed classification of the four right abandonments is: Bodhisattvas, for the benefit of sentient beings, in this samsara (world), taking the bodies of Brahma, Indra, Wheel-turning King, etc., when enjoying abundant possessions, in order not to be controlled by afflictions such as desire, and not to be defiled by them, they meditate on the four right abandonments. Similarly, they meditate in order to abandon the five obscurations, namely desire, malice, sleepiness, restlessness, regret, and doubt, and the Great Vehicle's
