It is for the sake of self-manifestation. Then, the yogi generates a strong hope and prays, "I must obtain this meaning," which is the mind of aspiration. Thus, through the six minds, there are eleven ways of attending to the meaning of the sacred teachings such as the Sutras in accordance with the Dharma. The meaning is explained in four verses, such as "with the expression of mind." The so-called "with the expression of mind" is the mind's conceptualization. The consciousness mixes the name and meaning, and knows "this meaning is like this," which is the mind with conceptualization, and with this, it continuously seeks, examines, and researches the words and meanings of the scriptures, which is with investigation and analysis, and it is impossible to obtain the preliminary stage of the first dhyana. And with the mind that has attained a small part of the actual first dhyana. Without investigation but with analysis, it is the so-called intermediate dhyana, which is the special actual practice of the first dhyana and the mind that has attained the second dhyana, and should be examined separately. When the actual practice of the third and fourth dhyanas is attained, because there is no investigation and analysis, the attention cannot be expressed by investigation and analysis, because it becomes one taste in samadhi, so it should also be examined, these three attentions with investigation and analysis, etc., are the three divisions of the nature of wisdom. Among the six minds, it also includes the mind that only holds the name of the Dharma and the mind that holds the words. The so-called only in the name, all the teachings of the Sutra are included, meaning that the meaning and hundreds of thousands of words, etc., explained by the Prajnaparamita, are included in the meaning of the name Prajnaparamita, like this holding the mind, it should be known that this is the path of Shamatha and Vipassana. The path of Vipassana should be known as the discrimination of the meaning of the Sutra in four ways such as counting and measuring. The path of uniting Shamatha and Vipassana should be known as the combination of both name and meaning. When Shamatha and Vipassana are not united, Shamatha focuses on name and words, and Vipassana focuses on meaning. When Shamatha and Vipassana are united, they do not separately focus on name and meaning, but combine the two into one, and Shamatha and Vipassana focus on it equally. Shamatha attention.

I, the Vipashyana attention and, the Yuganaddha attention, these three are three differences in terms of the path. Also, the three divided by the object are the three characteristics, namely the characteristic of quiescence, the characteristic of taking up, and the characteristic of equanimity, as stated. When the mind is distracted and agitated, thinking about the faults of distraction and samsara, not scattering outwards, but keeping the mind evenly within, is attending to the characteristic of quiescence. When the mind is dull and depressed, attending to the characteristic of Vipashyana. Attending to the self and common characteristics of the qualities of the Buddha and Samadhi or the Dharmas, from depression, the mind must be taken up and uplifted, because when agitated, it is in accordance with Vipashyana, Vipashyana cannot eliminate it, so attend to quiescence. Dullness and depression and sleep are in accordance with quiescence, so they must be eliminated by Vipashyana. The depressed mind is taken up by attending to the characteristic of Vipashyana, and agitation is also pacified by attending to the characteristic of quiescence. When there is no depression or agitation and it is even, then in that state, without wavering, attend to the characteristic of equanimity, and place it in equanimity. All of that which is meditated upon in that way must also be practiced continuously with the attention of respectful practice and the attention of constant practice, so for those previous attentions, not just engaging in them occasionally, but always attending to the task, and being joyful and respectful towards the attentions, and combining them with the path. Second, the way to attend to the meaning of the instructions through the door of meditation. From "focusing the mind on the object," etc., up to "always holding the cause," it is shown that the qualities of the path cannot be manifested by mere intellectual wisdom, so one must meditate with one-pointedness. Also, initially, not having evenly placed the mind of the desire realm within, it does not stay for a moment, moving like lightning and monkeys and clouds, the thoughts that are difficult to stop like ocean waves, are gradually subdued by the nine ways of abiding the mind, and the way to achieve Samadhi by truly abiding within is: on any object, one's own mind is focused and kept with one-pointedness, and even if it is kept like that, it does not stay for a moment,
