Thus, the activity of the Buddha's body, color, and form, etc., is to definitely show various forms. The wisdom of individual discrimination is the wisdom that knows all knowable things, both their own and common characteristics, at all times without obstruction. It is like a treasure of immeasurable samadhi and immeasurable dharani gates. Its function is to show the richness of external desirable qualities in all the mandalas of the Buddha's retinue, pure lands made of jewel ground, wish-fulfilling trees, rivers of nectar, adorned with immeasurable palaces, and clouds of faultless forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures, etc., all the perfect richness. The inner Dharma wealth, the own and common characteristics of all the profound and vast Dharmas, are correctly and accurately taught without error, cutting off all doubts of the retinue beings, and raining down the great Dharma rain of the Great Vehicle. The wisdom of accomplishing activities is to accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings with various forms of emanations of body, speech, and mind in all infinite realms of the world, and the number of these emanations is immeasurable and inconceivable. As mentioned before, the reason why the Buddha's emanations are various, immeasurable, and inconceivable is that they constantly act for the benefit of sentient beings with different realms, faculties, and inclinations, or because of the differences in accomplishing activities. That is, the Buddha emanates into the form of a Buddha for those who are to be tamed, and likewise emanates into all sentient beings such as Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and gods, accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings, etc. In short, it is various because it shows various immeasurable different emanations. Moreover, the emanations are beyond counting in numbers such as hundreds and thousands, so it is called immeasurable. The field means that the field to be tamed is not just one field or a hundred fields, etc., but the Buddha's emanation that shows the play of emanation in the infinite and boundless realms of the ten directions beyond the number of the sands of the Ganges is inconceivable in every way.

It should be universally known. Third, the causes for cultivating the four wisdoms are two: the cause of maturation and the cause of attaining complete purity. First, regarding the first of these two, there are two aspects: the main point and the implied meaning. First, in the stage of ordinary beings, relying on virtuous friends and engaging in listening, contemplating, and meditating on the Mahayana teachings, etc., is the cause for attaining mirror-like wisdom. Because from that cause, the alaya consciousness gradually transforms into mirror-like wisdom, therefore, by holding onto the Dharma, mirror-like wisdom arises. The other three should also be understood in the same way. In the stage of ordinary beings, cultivating a mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings as if they were oneself, and becoming accustomed to equanimity, therefore, equanimity wisdom arises. In the stage of aspiring conduct, accurately teaching the Dharma to other sentient beings without distortion, just as it was heard, therefore, discriminating wisdom arises. Similarly, by accomplishing the activities of sentient beings oneself, therefore, the wisdom of accomplishing activities arises. Thus, from these four causes, the four wisdoms truly arise. Therefore, in the stage of ordinary beings, in order to attain these four unsurpassed wisdoms, generate the supreme Bodhicitta, cultivate these four causes as much as possible, and dedicate the merit to attaining these wisdoms. From the unfailing interdependence of cause and effect, one will never waste the opportunity to obtain these wisdoms. Second, if different sentient beings attain such unsurpassed wisdom, they would become many Buddhas with different continuums. Then, the Buddha would also become a person with self-characteristics, and his skandhas, elements, and sense bases would also become many phenomena with self-characteristics, thus becoming conditioned and impermanent phenomena. If that were the case, how could it be said that noble beings are distinguished by the unconditioned, not by the conditioned? If Buddhas have no difference, wouldn't it be meaningless for each sentient being to practice the path and attain the result? As long as there is a concept of clinging to persons and phenomena, then the continuum of different individuals and their skandhas, elements, etc.
