Like a box filled with all kinds of precious jewels being opened, although it is obvious to the Buddha, as a student on the path, it is only knowing that it is so, without it being manifest, so its nature is inconceivable. However, thinking of it as inconceivable is also not contradictory. Like this, aiming for the unsurpassed Bodhi, in order to attain it, starting from faith and engaging in all the profound and vast paths without exception, when the qualities of the stages of the path and the ground manifest, it is like obtaining various jewels. In this way, the qualities of the Bodhisattva, from the qualities of the ground and the path, grow increasingly until reaching the Buddha's ground, experiencing the qualities, it is like opening a treasure box and becoming a realm of personal experience, therefore it is the teaching from faith to the fruition. Some people think that the Buddha's teachings naturally possess the qualities of perfect words and meanings, so why is it necessary to newly adorn it with treatises? Just like a naturally beautiful person adorned with various jewels, those jewels themselves or naturally possess qualities. However, when he himself, along with the adornments of his body, appears in a clear mirror, seeing it, due to seeing the beautiful image of his body and adornments, people will generate a particularly joyful and supreme mind. Similarly, whatever the Buddha has well spoken is auspicious in the beginning, middle, and end, possessing the qualities of perfect words and meanings and the four Brahmaviharas, therefore it is extremely excellent. These dharmas, which constantly possess immeasurable natural qualities, are also gathered by this treatise, the vast meaning of the Buddha's various teachings, well arranged in order, through thoroughly distinguishing the profound and difficult parts, thereby separately explaining the intentions of the Victor without confusion, therefore wise scholars can also easily understand the meaning of the Victor's teachings, thereby increasing

Upon hearing this treatise, may supreme joy arise, just as the image in a mirror reveals the qualities of beauty. Therefore, this treatise is an ornament that clarifies the intention of the sutras. Secondly, the content of the treatise's main text consists of five points: what needs to be proven, what needs to be known in detail, what needs to be contemplated, what is inconceivable, and the explanation of the nature of the dharmas that are in accordance with the aspects of enlightenment. First chapter: Establishing the Mahayana teachings. First, in establishing the Great Vehicle, there are two types: general teachings and specific explanations. Here is the first. As if smelling, etc., there are three verses. For example, if one smells with the nose, the odor is extremely pungent and difficult to reconcile with the olfactory sense. But if one tastes it with the tongue, it is like a good medicine that is extremely delicious, pacifies diseases, and greatly benefits the body. The Dharma of the Great Vehicle also exists in two forms: What are the two? They are the nature of meaning and letters, and the form of words. Among them, in terms of words alone, the Mahayana scriptures say that all dharmas are without inherent existence, and that one practices great austerities for three countless great kalpas, giving up one's head, limbs, etc., and remaining in samsara. Hearing these things, it is as if one were to abandon a great medicine that is delicious and full of nutrients because of its rough smell and its attachment to the nose, or its difficulty in entering the nose. Those who are narrow-minded and inclined to inferiority will abandon it out of fear. This is the fault of those individuals, not the fault of the Mahayana Dharma. Because, if one correctly ascertains its meaning with reason, then although all dharmas are empty of their own nature, the establishment of convention is extremely reasonable, and it is not taught that it does not exist in convention, or that it does not exist as conceived by ordinary people, but that other-powered origination exists in convention, and that the perfectly established reality is the ultimate truth, so it is not taught that these do not exist. And remaining in samsara and practicing austerities is also because one can accomplish it effortlessly through the gate of special skillful means and wisdom. If one understands the meaning of the Dharma, one will have even greater faith in the Great Vehicle, so it is advised not to cling to the surface of the words and abandon it without understanding its deep meaning. Furthermore, the path of the Great Vehicle is
