And the act of the ground, and obtaining freedom is to practice by obtaining freedom in samadhi, that is, to practice by offering immeasurable enjoyment with the samadhi of the treasury of space, and by holding words and meanings without forgetting with dharani and so on. Completely grasping the method of non-discrimination, and bodhisattvas above the eighth ground merge into one author, merging into all and the meaning is unique, that is, possessing any of these five categories is also more excellent than other practices. Third, for the four immeasurables, it is divided into explaining the four immeasurables and, separately explaining compassion. First, it is divided into essence and, object and, classification and, fruit and, contradictory aspects and, the display of merits, that is, it is displayed by six categories, of which the first, the four immeasurables of the bodhisattva are those with four characteristics, that is, the Brahma dwelling in the stable continuum of the bodhisattva, loving-kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, these four are in order the contradictory aspects of loving-kindness, etc., harmful mind and, various harms and, increased displeasure and, greed and hatred make the mind unequal, these four are abandoned, and possessing the wisdom of non-discrimination as an assistant, and the object is to engage in the three of sentient beings and dharma and no object, and the action is not abandoning sentient beings and making them mature, that is, possessing four characteristics. Among them, the loving mind abandons the harmful mind, and the desire to meet with happiness is the first. The loving practitioner and, the object sentient beings, the three wheels of the loving-kindness to be practiced, etc., are not grasped is the second. Engaging in the three objects is the third difference. The loving-kindness of ordinary beings and heretics, etc., is to cling to the existence of self and sentient beings and to be related to sentient beings, the loving-kindness of hearers and self-realizers is, there is nothing called self and sentient beings, but it arises from the loving-kindness of the five aggregates, many and impermanent and the nature of suffering, only many dharmas. Bodhisattva enters the ground And the loving-kindness of the Buddha is, in the ultimate sense, neither related to sentient beings nor to dharma, the nature is emptiness, but after realizing that the self-appearing confused suffering is like an illusion, the sentient beings who experience the essence are emptiness, even without object

Immeasurably benefiting sentient beings. Among them, the four immeasurables that only focus on sentient beings are common to the five: ordinary beings, non-Buddhists, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas. The love and so on that focus on Dharma are common to the four: Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas. The love that does not focus is the uncommon one of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as stated in the 'Yogacarabhumi-shastra'. In the 'Arya Akshayamati Sutra', it says: The love of Bodhisattvas who initially generate Bodhicitta focuses on sentient beings because they have not directly realized the two selflessnesses. The love of Bodhisattvas who have entered the practice from the first to the seventh Bhumis focuses on Dharma because they directly focus on the completely pure realm of Dharma. The love of those who have attained forbearance of non-arising Dharma from the eighth Bhumi onwards is without focus because love arises effortlessly without conceptualization. That is how it is said. Secondly, the objects of the four, love and so on, are: The objects of the four, love and so on, of steadfast Bodhisattvas are focused on sentient beings who desire happiness. Love is the aspect of wanting sentient beings to encounter happiness. Compassion focuses on those tormented by suffering, with the aspect of wanting them to be free from suffering. Joy focuses on sentient beings who possess happiness, with the aspect of wanting them not to be separated from happiness. Equanimity focuses on sentient beings who encounter pleasant feelings and generate attachment upon encountering friends and so on, and those who encounter painful feelings and enemies and so on, and generate hatred, wanting them not to generate attachment and hatred, but to become equanimous without attachment and hatred. These show which kinds of sentient beings are focused on. The love that focuses on Dharma focuses on the scriptures that teach those four immeasurables, the authentic Mahayana Sutras, focusing on the nature of those objects as merely phenomena that are actions. The love that focuses on the object focuses on the suchness of the four kinds of sentient beings and that Mahayana Dharma, focusing on emptiness, which is empty of both subject and object.
