Therefore, it is difficult to vow and pray to attain perfect enlightenment, because even among many sentient beings, it is very rare to make such a prayer of generating Bodhicitta. Having generated Bodhicitta in this way, the practice of giving away one's body and possessions, etc., in order to attain unsurpassed enlightenment and completely liberate all sentient beings, is difficult to accomplish even after practicing for thousands of kalpas. Because if one becomes an unsurpassed enlightened Buddha, one can benefit all sentient beings until the end of samsara, so it is of great significance. Therefore, taking the Mahayana as the path and taking refuge is of supreme significance. The extensive explanation has four aspects in the above order, namely, the distinctions of pervasiveness are the four pervasivenesses of sentient beings, vehicle, wisdom, and nirvana, in order: entering into the liberation of infinite sentient beings, comprehending the three vehicles, being skilled in the wisdom of comprehending the two selflessnesses, and realizing the realm of nirvana, where samsara and peace are one, and with wisdom and compassion not abiding on the edges of existence and peace, this is nirvana or the pervasiveness of knowable things. Such a wise person should be understood as pervasive in this context, as the Shravakas do not possess these qualities. Commitment has two aspects: the actual and the illustrative. First, from the bottom of one's heart, rejoicing in the Buddha's qualities, powers, and fearlessness, etc., and seeking supreme enlightenment in many ways, this is the difference between aspiration and prayer; from faith-practice to the ten bhumis, without weariness in practicing the path, giving away one's body, etc., enduring suffering, etc., truly practicing difficulties, this is the difference of practice; after completely becoming a Buddha, there is no difference from all Buddhas in terms of abandonment and realization, and body, speech, and mind become equal, this is the difference of the result. A wise person should know that this is a supreme commitment or vow. Second, illustrating its qualities with metaphors, there are the metaphors of the king's son and the great minister. The first, the metaphor of the Chakravartin's son, illustrates being born into the supreme Buddha lineage. For example, the son of a Chakravartin possesses the father's seed and a noble lineage.

Just as having four perfections, namely, a chaste and virtuous mother, a womb without defects such as diseases, and a nurturing mother. Bodhisattvas are called the sons of the Tathagata lineage who do not cut off the lineage, while the Shravakas are not called sons of the Buddha, but disciples born from the Buddha's words. Any Bodhisattva who is born as the supreme son of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is one who has generated the mind of unsurpassed Bodhi, and has attained the Prajnaparamita of realizing selflessness, and possesses the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, and the four dharmas such as compassion that does not abandon all sentient beings, in order, like the father's seed, the mother and the place of the womb, and the incomparable mother and the wise Bodhisattva born of similar Dharma, should be regarded as the most supreme commitment. Because of the commitment to accomplish unsurpassed Bodhi, he is born into the Tathagata lineage like a Chakravartin's son with characteristics. Furthermore, just as when a Chakravartin's son is born, he has virtues that surpass ordinary people, his body is adorned with excellent marks, he can subdue other small countries and govern them well, obtain the enjoyment of the kingdom, and be proficient in the king's laws and all learning, like these four qualities. So it is with the Bodhisattva, whose body is adorned with all kinds of pleasing excellent marks and beautiful secondary marks. Moreover, he surpasses the marks of the worldly Chakravartin by three qualities, namely, the difference of abiding in the place, being completely clear, and being completely perfect. By the power of wisdom, he obtains the power of body, speech, and mind that can fully mature all sentient beings in virtue, and the great bliss of the Buddha that never ends, thereby attaining the boundless state of pacifying all afflictions, and because he liberates all sentient beings from suffering and places them in eternal bliss, he knows the immeasurable and boundless means of becoming the protector of all sentient beings, or the gates of means and wisdom. Furthermore, just as the Chakravartin's son with characteristics is appointed by his father as the successor to the throne, and is proficient in the in-depth examination of affairs, and the arts of body, speech, and mind.
