If there are instructions for meditating on these (methods), then take ugliness as the antidote to desire, loving-kindness as the antidote to hatred, dependent origination as the antidote to ignorance, and the meditation of breathing in and out as the antidote to conceptual thought; if not, then one should diligently read the scriptures of the three baskets. Third, explaining the places of constant practice, there are two parts: a summary and a detailed explanation. The first part is: by abandoning the gross ten kinds of misconduct of body, speech, and mind, one maintains discipline, and the ritual of the four kinds of conduct. For this, one must first be proficient in the principles of what to take and what to abandon, and it is not enough to be merely proficient, one must actually practice taking and abandoning accordingly, and one must diligently engage in practices such as the Uposatha. The second part is divided into: the branch of discipline, which is the explanation of the places of defeat; and as a branch of that, the explanation of the places of minor precepts. The first part is divided into: the defeat of killing, the defeat of taking what is not given, the defeat of unchaste conduct, and the defeat of lying. The first is further divided into the actual act and what belongs to the actual act. The actual act is further divided into killing through the body, killing through speech, and killing through means. The first is: In the land of Vriji, the Bhagavan praised the monks for meditating on impurity. After meditating on it, this body of pus and blood became repulsive, so they poisoned themselves, killed themselves with weapons, jumped off cliffs, suffocated themselves, and so on. A monk said to a Danda ascetic, "Good friend, I will give you my face and robes." After saying this, the ascetic killed him and washed his sword in the Gaya River. Then, a son of the gods, a demon, stayed in a place where the water did not touch, and praised the Danda ascetic, saying, "Increase your merit greatly!" The ascetic thought, "I want robes and I want to make merit," so he hid the sword under his arm and killed sixty monks one after another from the monastery to the walking place. Then, on the fifteenth day of the Uposatha, the Bhagavan asked Ananda, "What is the cause and condition for the monks to be decreasing?" Ananda reported as such, and the Bhagavan rebuked him in various ways, and established the precepts in order to see the ten benefits. Conduct.

Or, for those who have not broken or abandoned their vows, and who are in a state of mental derangement, etc., and have not broken them, deliberately thinking with harmful intent, do not confuse killing Devadatta with offering sacrifices, for the local people or those who have become human, others other than oneself, oneself or instructing others to stab and kill with knives, etc., when the main action is completed, the practice is fundamentally destroyed, and therefore becomes a defeat. The second case is: for those who uphold the precepts or those who break the precepts, in order: to those who uphold the precepts, say, 'If you die, you will go to a good rebirth, so kill yourself,' and die because of this reason; to those who break the precepts, say, 'If you live, your sins will increase, it is better to die, so kill yourself'; similarly, to those who are afflicted by disease, say, 'The longer you live, the more suffering you will have, so kill yourself,' like this advice, etc. Those who hear these words, exhausted by suffering, at that time, do not say the words of the Dharma that are certain to die, that is, certain to die, and if they die because of this reason, it is a defeat. Killing with medicine: the son of the householder Great Strength, the elder brother is called Strength Protector, the younger brother is called Near Protector. After Strength Protector went to trade, Near Protector made his wife pregnant. Near Protector became a monk in Jeta Grove. Near Protector's friend, the doctor, aborted the fetus, and this matter spread everywhere. The Buddha asked Near Protector: 'Did you do this?' The monk did not do this, but rejoiced. The World Honored One said: 'From now on, if you do this, you will commit a transgression, so it is forbidden.' Bhikshu: men, women, hermaphrodites, with the intention to kill, put poison in food and drink, etc., or give deadly medicine, or give mantras blessed by the father god (Tibetan: ལྷ་ཕོས་སྦྱར་བའི་སྔགས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: देवपितृमन्त्र, Sanskrit Romanization: devapitṛmantra, Chinese literal meaning: father god mantra), or use the clear mantra blessed by the witch (Tibetan: མོས་སྦྱར་བའི་རིག་པ་ཡི་མངོན་སྤྱོད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्त्रीकृतविद्याभिप्राय, Sanskrit Romanization: strīkṛtavidyābhiprāya, Chinese literal meaning: woman-made clear practice), or push them off a cliff, or burn them with fire, or send them to deadly places like wild animals and poisonous snakes, or send them away, or use various methods of other people's body and speech, in short, from the basis, intention, action, to the final completion, killing the other person, the practice will be destroyed and become a defeat. Second, belonging to the transgression are: gross sins and misdeeds. First: the same kind or belonging to the transgression, such as cattle and other animal species, as well as sentient beings in hell, including hot and cold hells, solitary hells, near-border hells, and the kinds of hungry ghosts, or the desire realm and form realm.
