The self-occurring awareness is self-luminous, clear, free from elaboration, uncompounded, and spontaneously accomplished. Therefore, it is self-liberated in the realm of the three kayas. As stated in the 'Subtle Arrangement': 'The complete Buddha is self-awareness itself. Its essence does not change in the three times.' This is how it is said. Sixth, whatever thoughts arise in the form of the five poisons, such as anger, by looking intently at their very essence and letting them be, anger is not abandoned but self-liberated into clear emptiness wisdom. Similarly, attachment is self-liberated into bliss-emptiness, delusion into non-conceptuality, and pride and jealousy appear as the essence of self-luminous intrinsic nature and are liberated in the state of the five wisdoms. By this example, whatever non-virtuous thoughts arise, such as the root afflictions and the twenty secondary afflictions, all should be known as self-arising and self-liberating. As stated in 'Vast Expanse of Clarity': 'The single basis of all samsara and nirvana, self-born wisdom arises from itself. Knowing this is simply called wisdom.' This is how it is said. Seventh, similarly, by looking at whatever coarse or subtle appearances and thoughts of objects and subjects arise, encompassed by the six aggregates such as form, they are self-liberated into the great absence of inherent existence, primordial emptiness, and utter detachment. As stated in 'Union of Sun and Moon': 'For those who realize that all objects appearing through focus are without inherent existence, for them there is no duality of appearance and emptiness.' This is how it is said. In short, whatever arises, awareness is self-liberated in the realm of primordial purity, free from elaboration, the nature of which transcends bondage and liberation. Therefore, it is the ultimate state that transcends the object of meditation and the meditator. As stated in 'Consequence': 'Because self-awareness is free from all thoughts, it possesses the four great liberations. Since it is primordially liberated, there is no need for re-cultivation. Since it is self-liberated, there is no need for antidotes. Since it is liberated by focusing, it vanishes upon seeing. Since it is completely liberated, there is no effort.' This is how it is said. Also, cutting through the root in unbornness and settling in self-nature, establishing certainty in unceasingness and cutting through to the one, establishing certainty in non-duality and training in effortless liberation, all these teachings are no different from the meaning just explained. Third, introducing awareness on the basis of experiential practice is divided into introducing awareness in the state of self-abiding meditation and introducing awareness in the play of self-radiant wisdom. First, as stated in 'Precious Lamp': 'From the nature of the three settlements, the meaning of primordial purity is manifested.' Therefore, mountain king
