The Shravakas abide in the nature of the three doors. Bodhisattvas stabilize the abiding. Wrathful deities bring the stabilization to completion and liberation. From these, a special Samatha arises, temporarily possessing the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, thereby suppressing coarse suffering and afflictions. Ultimately, realizing the meaning of primordial purity, coarse afflictions are destroyed, and one enters the correct path. In the "Post-Mortem Meaning Instructions," the other preliminaries are performed as before, and the relaxation is incorporated into the main practice, which is said to be the root of the method of settling the mind, and is therefore appropriate for the occasion. But here it is done in the same way as other instruction manuals. Thus, when meditating, if the mind is joyful and engaged, there will be few obstacles and great benefit, so meditate. If you are bored and not joyful, even if you meditate, it will become an obstacle. Like traveling with a bad horse, later meditation will become unpleasant and lead to bad habits, so rest a little and gradually engage in familiarity. The second point, the instructions for the main practice of the profound path of meditation, is divided into two: the path of Trekchö, which reveals the reality of primordial purity in a way that is free from elaboration, and the path of Tögal, which reveals the wisdom of spontaneous accomplishment in a direct way. The first is divided into two: establishing the nature of reality, and introducing the face of awareness. The first is divided into three. In the "Post-Mortem Meaning Instructions," it says: "First, cut off conceptual thoughts. Then, look for the flaws in the mind. Then, examine the three places of origin, dwelling, and going." Therefore, the first cutting off of conceptual thoughts is: among the basis of all actions, the three of body, speech, and mind, who is the one who wanders in samsara and becomes a Buddha? Who is the basis of happiness and suffering and the author of affirmation and negation? Is the one who transmits the continuum of past and future lives and wanders, each of the three of body, speech, and mind, or does a single assembly act? Through observation and analysis, it is determined that the root of everything is the mind, which is like recognizing a thief. The "Space of Clarity" says: "The one is the basis of all samsara and nirvana." The "Secret Essence" says: "The rootless mind itself is the root of all dharmas." The "Doha" also says: "The mind itself is the seed of all things, from which the flow of existence and sorrow arises." Etc., what is said is also intended for this meaning. Second, finding the flaw is: like this, all of samsara and nirvana.

The root of this is the mind, which grasps all phenomena as self and clings to the notion of "I." Then, are the body and speech associated with it one or different? If they are one, then just as the body and speech are visible and audible, the mind should also be visible and audible. Since the mind is not perceived as visible and audible, the body and speech should also not be visible and audible. If they are separate, then the body is an indivisible particle, speech vanishes without a trace, and the mind, like a bird flying across the sky without leaving a trace, exposes the flaw of being neither one nor different. This is an awareness that does not fall into any side, whether it be object and subject, or arising and ceasing, or permanence and annihilation, etc. It is a clear and transparent awareness that does not belong to any category. It transcends the realm of accurate description and is fundamentally liberated from the labels of delusion and non-delusion. As it is said in the "String of Pearls": "In the primordial purity of the very beginning, even the word 'delusion' cannot be used. Then what is 'non-delusion'? Therefore, delusion is liberated from the very beginning." Third, examining the nature of reality: Since the flaw of the basis has not been found, where does the essence of this mind, which grasps selflessness as self, originally come from? Where does it dwell in the middle? And where does it ultimately go? Furthermore, by examining how it arises, how it exists, how it ceases, etc., since these cannot be established anywhere, when the antidote of the observer appears, the nature of the observed object itself is purified as empty, like being uprooted. Just as when a tree is cut off at the root, the leaves naturally wither. The awareness of the observer itself cannot be pointed out as "this," but is the self-illuminating nature of each individual, the spontaneous manifestation of wisdom that is originally pure and spontaneously accomplished. At that time, if you observe existence, observe the nature of existence; if you observe dissipation, observe the nature of dissipation. By abiding in the self-power that is free from the knower and the known, the uninterrupted awareness naturally unfolds, thereby realizing the reality of primordial emptiness and original purity. As it is said in "Liberation from Bondage": "All internal and external examinations are liberated in primordial emptiness." Furthermore: "When the basis of all is known to be completely pure, the meaning of the basis is manifested, and one is naturally liberated in one's own place." As these say. Then, if one thinks that the examination of the place of origin, dwelling, and going has been done before, what about that? The previous examination was to determine the non-existence of the object by examining the object, while this examination is to determine the nature by examining the subject. As Dharma Lord Kunkhyen Chenpo said, the previous examination was directed at the mind.
