So, how to practice? First, it is said, "What is Vajravarahi? It is inherently one's own mind, completely pure." Like this it is said. The meaning of that is like it says in the 'Gur Lun': "Outside of the precious mind, there is no Buddha and no sentient being." Like this, all these appearances are merely illusions of one's own mind, like appearances in a dream. The nature of mind, from the beginning, is completely pure, it is the wisdom of non-duality of grasping and being grasped. Transcending faults and virtues, establishment and refutation, it is the all-pervading, unchanging sphere, that is the ultimate Vajravarahi. In the 'Heart Essence' it says: "From any of the four times and ten directions, one will not find the perfect Buddha. Mind itself is the perfect Buddha, do not seek the Buddha from elsewhere." Like this. That is also called the Vajravarahi of the ground of abiding reality. When that is pointed out by a qualified lama with oral instructions and experience, when the student finds certainty that their own mind is the Dharmakaya, then all the phenomena of samsara, encompassed by karma, afflictions, and suffering, are naturally determined to be like dreams and illusions. Through the self-liberation of the senses and the self-arising of wisdom, the original co-emergent meaning is realized as if a mirror is showing an object, and in equipoise and post-equipoise, one merges into the sphere of reality. Gaining the use of the path in the equality of samsara and nirvana is called the Vajravarahi of the path of realization. Like this, for the meaning of realization, through familiarity and stability, one guards it, and with strength, the two obscurations are purified at the base. The thoughts of memory and awareness, grasping and being grasped, are made to merge into the nature of reality. Even subtle experiential awareness vanishes into the sphere of reality, and the qualities of the grounds and paths are perfected, this is called the Vajravarahi of manifest fruition. That Vajravarahi of the path also refers here to the key of cutting the six thoughts by recognizing the six moments of wisdom at the time of empowerment or the time of the path. Like this, through realization, all phenomena appear as mind, the nature of mind is rootless emptiness, determined as the great bliss co-emergent wisdom, this is the view of Vajravarahi. Abiding in that is practice, not separating from that is conduct, gaining stability in that is the fruit, it is the instruction that liberates the senses. Like this, it is also said in the 'Manifest Arising': "In the wisdom of the first moment, cut the thoughts of what is grasped. In the wisdom of the second moment, cut the thoughts of what grasps. In the wisdom of the third moment, cut what is grasped."

Cutting off the thoughts of the two grasps. With the wisdom of the fourth instant, cut off the thoughts of various views. With the wisdom of the fifth instant, cut off the thoughts of arising experiences. With the wisdom of the sixth instant, cut off the thoughts of attention. Thus it is said. Secondly, how to meditate after knowing the key points: With refuge, bodhicitta, and guru yoga as preliminaries, sit comfortably on a cushion, with the seven-point posture of the body. Let the breath flow naturally. Relax the mind without tightening it. Do not focus on any thoughts of the three times, but rest naturally. And look at its own nature. When you look like this, there is no attachment to anything. Beyond the realm of consciousness, self-awareness, self-illumination, and freedom from elaboration arise. Rest in that state. It is good to stay in that state. If thoughts arise, look at whatever appears, and all the thoughts that have arisen, will arise, and are arising, disappear without a trace, like looking at the sky and seeing nothing. In this way, nothing is seen anywhere. There is nothing, emptiness and clarity have nowhere to dwell. Just as it is, the nature of all dharmas is the same as that. That nature itself turns inward, and there is nothing other than awareness, so it is self-awareness. The essence of the mind is not seen anywhere, so it is free from elaboration. It is not established anywhere, so it is emptiness. The nature of all dharmas does not deviate from it, so it is primordial. Whether deluded or not, the meaning of reality does not deviate from it, so it is other-emptiness, and is called the unchanging realm of reality. Thus, the great teacher Padmasambhava said: In the practice of Vajravarahi, there are elaborations, non-elaborations, etc. Although there are countless kinds, in general, everything is contained in the mind. If you can recognize ordinary awareness and be liberated without hope or fear, that is Vajravarahi. In this way, before you are used to it, in the place where the essence of appearance and awareness is free from attachment, stay clearly, brightly, and nakedly with awareness. If you feel tired, relax, be soft, relax, loosen and stay. In this way, by practicing alternately tightening and loosening, after getting used to it a little, do not cling to anything, the mind is free from affairs, the mind is free from thoughts, awareness is free from faults, and practice in its own nature. Thus, it is said in the Manifestation of Varahi: Direction
