Offer cool water for bathing, and present food with excellent taste and nutrition. Offer to the sense of hearing with various pleasant musical instruments, such as blowing, plucking, striking, stringed instruments, and various sounds. The symbolic meanings of these are: the wisdom of self-awareness is a bright flower; the compassion without object burns away thoughts is incense; the innate luminosity dispels the darkness of ignorance is a lamp; the extremely profound meaning, the realm of reality, the awareness manifests as wisdom free from elaboration, pervading all phenomena is perfume; washing away the defilements of all thoughts with it is foot-washing water; experiencing the uncontaminated taste of single-pointed samadhi is both food and offering; the sound of mantra, inseparable from emptiness, is music. These are also mentioned in the Thug Thig (Heart Drop): "The bright flower of awareness, the incense of compassion," and so on. Similarly, offer pleasing forms to the eye, pleasant sounds to the ear, fragrant scents to the nose, excellent tastes to the tongue, and soft touches to the body, offering the five desirable qualities that are pleasing to the five senses. The symbolic meanings of these are: during the union of the father and mother, the mutual joyful gazing is form, the sound of "Ha Si" during union is sound, the fragrance of satisfaction from bliss is scent, the taste of experiencing melting bliss is taste, the mutual contact of the secret space and the white and red elements is touch, and all internal and external phenomena manifest as the dharma of bliss and emptiness. Therefore, from "Therefore" and so on, it also includes the dharma of the mind realm, and the offerings of the mudras of the consorts, which appear as the transformations of the experience of the sixteen joys. This is mentioned in the Illusion Path Stages: "The secret inner desirable qualities." The common inner offering is: the pure, self-arisen samaya substances symbolized by "വം" (Tibetan, vam, Sanskrit Devanagari, vaṃ, Sanskrit Romanization, vaṃ, meaning "water-born"), the eye, tongue, ear, nose, and heart that arise from manifestation. The first four are part of the flowers of the five senses, and the last one, the heart, is the body sense itself, flickering like lightning, with subtle parts pervading everywhere, but it is said to be mainly located in the center of the body, so it is placed as a symbol of the support, hence it is called the flower of the senses. In medical treatises, the flower of the lips is also mentioned among the five senses, but it is not counted here. Similarly, there is also the incense of burning a large amount of fat, and a large amount of fat.

Those are the butter lamps lit with corpse hair, the urine of bile, and the food of large pieces of meat. The symbolism of those is that, for sentient beings, the five naturally formed doors of substances, as the basis of the five consciousnesses, the pure five senses with form, because they are not mixed with their respective objects and can act autonomously, are the radiant flowers; the material of fat is meat, and the residue of that meat will turn into odor, so it is the incense of burning fat; the essence of bone marrow turns into the luster of the body, so it is the butter lamp of bone marrow essence; bile is the storehouse of odor, so it is the anointing; food and drink, etc., are digested and matured by the three humors of wind, bile, and phlegm, turning into blood and flesh, therefore, in order to nourish the gods of the aggregates, elements, and sources, the large pieces of blood and flesh are food. Like that, the objects of enjoyment of outer and inner offerings are actually arranged, and those emanated by the mind, not held by the owner, and the inconceivable clouds of offerings arising from the power of aspiration, we also offer with devotion, please do not depart from the state of great bliss of naturally liberated abandonment and acceptance and enjoy them. Oṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Oṃ) is the seed syllable of offering. The six from Vajra (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्र, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra, Literal Chinese meaning: Vajra) and Puṣpe (Tibetan, Devanagari: पुष्पे, Romanized Sanskrit: puṣpe, Literal Chinese meaning: Flower) to Śabde (Tibetan, Devanagari: शब्दे, Romanized Sanskrit: śabde, Literal Chinese meaning: Sound) have already been explained as before. Arghaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: अर्घं, Romanized Sanskrit: arghaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Water) and Pādyaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: पाद्यं, Romanized Sanskrit: pādyaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Water), these two waters are the sign of the neuter, so they are the continuation of Simu. Sarva (Tibetan, Devanagari: सर्व, Romanized Sanskrit: sarva, Literal Chinese meaning: All) is all. Pūjā (Tibetan, Devanagari: पूजा, Romanized Sanskrit: pūjā, Literal Chinese meaning: Offering) is offering. Hoḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हो, Romanized Sanskrit: ho, Literal Chinese meaning: Hoḥ) is the seed syllable of joy, meaning to offer all things, please be pleased. The second is the special inner offering, among the three of medicine, torma, and blood, the medicine offering is: all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana, in the nature of uncontrived, self-arisen nectar, are pure from the very beginning. In the eight Vaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Vaṃ) verses, it says: "The three realms are originally the five nectars, uncontrived, spontaneously accomplished, perfectly enlightened." The sacred nectar itself has eight roots and a thousand branches, in the three aspects of the root, the outer aspect is in the eight Vaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वं, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Vaṃ) verses: "Root, stem, branch, leaf, and petal, bark, fruit, and essence." Therefore, the root is Mūlapati and so on, the eight kinds of medicine. The inner aspect is: the root of the existence of sentient beings is the navel, flesh and bones are the stem, limbs are the branches, hair and nails are the leaves, the five senses are the flowers, the five aggregates are the fruits, the brain, spinal cord, bones, and lymph are the essence, and the skin is the bark.
