Now understood. Therefore, whatever discursive thoughts arise, one knows them; as soon as those thoughts arise, they transform into non-duality, so one also knows how the wisdom of non-duality arises, and one can distinguish the faults and merits of duality and non-duality. Fifth is reversion, the yoga of transformation: the previous strong stream of discursive thoughts reverses, and the hundred and eight winds of thought turn into winds free from thought, so even though one abides in non-duality in equipoise, because it moves in the chakras, there is still a trace of affliction, so it is called affliction or conventional truth. When that ceases and dissolves into the indestructible, it is called wisdom and ultimate truth, and then again one rises from that and moves in the chakras as before, and so on. Sixth is abandoning attachment to thought, the yoga of complete purification: even the distinction between whether the winds move or do not move in the chakras is abandoned, and one constantly dissolves into the indestructible, so the suchness of the wind, the state of equipoise, clarity, emptiness, and bliss, in that state, all the winds dissolve into the clear light, and one abides in equipoise. Thus, of the six, the first three are the first half of speech vajra, and the fourth is what occurs in the latter half. The fifth and sixth are the vajra recitation that occurs when a person who abides in the former and latter halves of mind vajra practices them in sequence. Vajra recitation is real, and only in accordance with it, all six yogas also occur in this stage of speech vajra. So, how should vajra recitation be done with these six branches? The Gongpa Lungton says: 'Recitation combined with intention, symbol, and ultimate meaning.' Thus, it speaks of four kinds of vajra recitation. Regarding how to explain its meaning, there are the views of the assembled masters and the tradition of this instruction. The first also has two views: some think that recitation is the ten mantras, intention is the meaning of the mantras, symbol is the symbol of the mantras, and ultimate meaning is the ultimate meaning of the mantras. Others consider the four, recitation and so on, as the names of the four vajra recitations. Later wise and accomplished ones observed the key point of the instructions and said that the key is the same except for the difference between the four, the ten mantras and so on, being the objects to which recitation is directed, and the four, recitation and so on, being the distinctions of how recitation is done, so there is no contradiction, which is excellent. Reciting the ten mantras is:

The basis from which all letters are gathered is the vowels and consonants. Here, from the three letters A, U, and MA, ༀ (Tibetan: ༀ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: om, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) is extracted; from the three letters A, A, and HA, ཨཱཿ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) is extracted; from the three letters HA, U, and MA, ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) is extracted. Although adding a dot to the HA to make it a strong sound is not common in phonetics, it originates from the Vedas, and India and Nepal pronounce it as a separate HA sound, so it is consistent with the sound of oral expression. The actual practice of the mantra thus extracted is Vajra recitation with utterance, because the breath is considered to enter as the shape or sound of the mantra. The meaning of the mantra is bliss-emptiness, or the union of the two deities of wind and mind, or any one of them. Visualization Vajra recitation is also because the breaths are considered to be in the form or nature of the deity. The symbolic meaning of the mantra is that the symbols of ༀ (Tibetan: ༀ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanized Sanskrit: om, Literal Chinese meaning: Om), ཨཱཿ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), and ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) stabilize the entry, dwelling, and rising of the breath, or that the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought arises from the cause of the breath. Symbolic Vajra recitation is also recited in this way, because allowing the རཾ་ (Tibetan: རཾ་, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ram) breath to dissolve into the central channel in an appropriate manner expands the appearance of the breath through the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought associated with the burning and dripping in the central channel. This is also because it appears as its essence. The ultimate meaning of the mantra is to mix thoughts and breath into the Dharmadhatu, thereby meditating on the meaning of inexpressible, space-like equality. Ultimate Vajra recitation is also meditated upon in this way, so it is Suchness recitation. Secondly, according to the lineage of this instruction, reciting the three syllables in the mouth is Vajra recitation with utterance. Visualizing the shape and color of the three letters is visualization Vajra recitation. Believing that the rising, entering, and dwelling of the breath are the sounds of the three syllables, thereby knowing that the breath and mantra are inseparable, and reciting is symbolic Vajra recitation. The coming and going of the breath Knowing that the three places and the Great Seal of emptiness and form are inseparable, thereby understanding that all names, sentences, and words are like illusions, is ultimate Vajra recitation. Having briefly explained the general meaning in this way, now entering into the meaning of the text. Among the four divisions of Vajra recitation, here we are doing the third, symbolic Vajra recitation. When the breath goes out, with the sound of the ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) breath, at that time, visualize the breath of the five elements arising from the indestructible bindu in the heart, possessing the light rays of five colors.
