As it is said, one should practice accordingly. Thus, one should perform any of the three approaches of time, number, and signs in the order of four sessions. Regarding time, it is said in the Gong Gyü (Mind Transmission Tantra): "Extend the duration to about a year or a month." Therefore, combining it with one's own ability, one should not exceed what one has vowed, saying, "It should be this number of years or months." During this practice, "Are the days thirty-sixfold?" Therefore, should the approach and accomplishment each be six months, totaling more than one year? Or, considering the approach and accomplishment together as six months, the approach here should be half of that, more than three months. The numerical approach is as stated in the Gong Gyü: "Having completed the approach and accomplishment ritual, recite the number seven hundred and twenty thousand." Thus, the quantity should be more than seven hundred and twenty thousand. The approach of signs is to not abandon the approach until a sign of samadhi or an external sign appears. As it is said in the self-benefit practice manual: "Thus, the warmth or signs of the approach are the blazing of realization, the attainment of single-pointed samadhi, in dreams, being on the top of a stupa and on the top of a mountain, and raising flags, being on the sun and moon, or the sun and moon rising on the body, actually seeing the deity transformed into a giant, or meeting or smiling, in dreams, beating a large drum, blowing a conch shell, light and goddesses showing forms, dreaming of being a guide for beings, etc., are good signs, and wisdom arises without bias through one's own experience." As it is said. Second, the accomplishment is to cast out obstacle tormas, cut off outer and inner boundaries, etc. In this connection of approach and accomplishment, it is understood by what has been said before. Placing chak chak, drawing the mandala with blessed lines and colors, blessing and placing the phurba, arranging the offering substances, etc., should be done according to the practice manual of the collection for the benefit of others. If one cannot do that much, then when the mandala was set up during the previous approach, placing an additional phurba on top of it will suffice to cut off. If previously one relied only on the skull mandala, then here, on top of the spread-out painted cloth, the previous skull mandala with all the deity phurbas should be placed and established with additional ones. If previously there was only the main phurba, then at this time, all the deity phurbas should be established, or if not available, piles of colored powder or

How to arrange name slips or seed syllables? Offering the sadhana torma, as well as the tormas, medicines, and blood for the Dharma protectors, is sufficient to maintain them as before. At this time, display outer and inner offerings and whatever mandala decorations are available. Having completed these preparations, recite the usual practice at night without interruption, and then sleep. Starting from the morning session the next day, begin by performing the seven-branch preliminary practices. From the three samadhis onwards, except for the distinction of visualizing oneself and the mandala in front, the support for practice, including the phurba, as inseparable and generating the wheel of samaya, perform the practice according to the sadhana, maintaining proper posture until the praise, and precede with the recitation and contemplation of body, speech, and mind as in the sadhana. Here, focus primarily on the recitation and contemplation aimed at qualities. The visualization for this is as follows: Visualize that the mandala in front, which serves as the support, is separated by ཕཊ་ཛཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: फट् जः, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ jaḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat Jah), and abides in the sky in front. Radiance from the seed syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) of one's own mind manifests as many forms of the nine seed syllables. It dissolves into the hearts of all the Sugatas of the ten directions, especially the wrathful deities, princes, gatekeepers, and all the samaya phurbas. Generate joy, stimulate their samaya, and all the siddhis of body, speech, and mind arise from the navels of each deity in the form of red mantra garlands, enter one's own navel, and dissolve into the seed syllable in the heart. Again, radiate from the heart as before, visualize it revolving like a torch, recite, and at the end of each session, make offerings and praises. The method of dividing the four sessions and the adoption and rejection of the expanded and condensed preliminaries are as in the previous sadhana. Here, like the evening session, also strive to perform a tsok torma in one session as much as possible, and treat the leftovers as prisoners, etc., as is common. In this way, during the last two or three weeks approaching the completion of the sadhana, based on having the four recitations and contemplations of body, speech, mind, and qualities, add this visualization at the end of the recitation: Again, radiate light, pervading all the outer and inner worlds, gather all the essence of the four elements, jewels, and medicines that prolong life and eliminate disease and obstacles, and dissolve them into oneself, thereby increasing splendor and essence. Radiance shines on all sentient beings, thereby purifying the imprints of karma, afflictions, and ignorance, and transforming into the nature of Vajrakumara. Radiance shines on the deity assembly of the mandala and all the Buddhas of the ten directions, offering pleasing offerings.
