Sit in the posture of meditation. Precede with refuge and bodhicitta. Gaze steadily at the object of focus without blinking. Then, if the clear appearance of the deity arises vividly in the mind, do not cling to it too tightly. Relax and remain in that state where the clarity does not fade. Even if dullness arises for a moment, do not be concerned. By cultivating in this way, after a while, the clear appearance of the deity will arise spontaneously from the state of non-conceptuality. At that point, train in not focusing on the object of focus. Visualize the three places of the deity you are meditating on as having a lotus and a crossed vajra marked with three seed syllables (Oṃ, Āḥ, Hūṃ). Then, remain single-pointedly focused on that. Recite the three seed syllables alternately with vajra recitation and mental recitation. If you feel tired, you can also recite some vocal recitation. By meditating in this way repeatedly, first the form of the deity will appear vividly in the mind. Then, it will appear clearly in the sensory perception as if it had tangible and visible characteristics. After that, by further effort, it is said to appear in the realm of the body, meaning that the impure appearances represented by one's own body disappear, and one remains single-pointedly focused on the clear appearance of the deity, and a firm sense of divine pride arises. These three appearances can also be called the realm of the mind, the realm of appearance, and the realm of attachment. In this way, when the three realms are clear, even the parts of the body and the smallest ornaments will emit clear appearances. By practicing the uncertainty of the deity's size, number, distance, and the increase or decrease of the duration of the session, it is called becoming a deity giant, meaning that it becomes comfortable no matter how you meditate. Then, begin to meditate on the wheels of the mandala of whatever deity it is, whether peaceful, wrathful, increasing, medium, or subduing. That is, like this, first recognize that all phenomena are like illusions. Then, from that state, all appearances disappear like a rainbow in the sky, and remain for a moment in a state of mind without thought. Then, by reciting the mantra of Śūnyatā (Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Romanization: śūnyatā, Chinese literal meaning: emptiness), contemplate that all phenomena are primordially pure by nature, emptiness, free from elaboration, and self-arisen wisdom, and remain in that state, which is the samadhi of suchness. Even so, for sentient beings who have not realized this, cultivate great compassion that is unattached and like an illusion, pervading the sky, which is the samadhi of all appearances. Combining emptiness and great compassion is self-awareness.

Relying on the mandala, establish it in the body mandala. Like the Great Perfection Ati Yoga, knowing the key points of establishing in the mind by relying on the mandala of awareness as the mind, and introducing the deity's form as the play of mind itself, practice accordingly. In short, in the peaceful section of the teachings on activity, it says: "When the three realms become clear, Meditate on the yoga of the desired deity, When all phenomena are equal to the deity in samadhi, The generation stage is complete as the form, The generation stage is the ultimate meaning, It is called the practice of the form." Thus it is said. Secondly, the method of practicing speech is: In general, in the instructions for clarifying through recitation, it says: "There are four mantras, namely, the root mantra that is the cause, the mantra of generation that is the condition, the mantra of recitation and approach, and the mantra of activity that is the urging." Here, the latter two are explained. Among the three ways of reciting with body, speech, and mind, the first is the recitation of the body, with what is it recited? With a rosary. Its material is: In the "Garland of Precious Instructions for Mantra Practice," it says: "The distinctions of rosaries, the Bodhi seed is excellent, Because it is auspicious for all, it is a common recitation. The Rudraksha is the recitation of the wrathful, It is said to be highly praised for fierce activities." Thus it is said, so in general, the Bodhi seed is praised for everything, so it is supreme. In other tantras it is also said: "With the Bodhi seed, countless results are achieved." Thus it is said. In particular, the Bodhi seed is auspicious for peaceful activities, and the Rudraksha for wrathful activities. In the "Precious Garland" it says: "Recite the rosary after applying the nectar mantra." Thus it is said, although it only mentions purifying with the blessing of the nectar mantra, in general, the rosary is visualized as the deity, and it is blessed by reciting the mantras of Rutsira and others, transforming it into the aspect of absorbing the rosary. With what is it recited? With the fingers of the hand. How is it recited? It says: "It is praised that all hold it with the thumb and index finger, The fierce one counts with the right thumb and forefinger." Thus, for fierce activities, it is said that the right thumb and forefinger are joined to guide in the manner of the Dharma origin. Although the determination of right and left is not mentioned for other activities, the right hand is specifically designated for fierce activities, so it can be understood that peaceful, increasing, and subduing activities are counted with the left hand. The method of guiding is to place the rosary on the index finger with the four fingers joined, and with the thumb vajra iron.
