Therefore, conventional truth is empty of its own nature. Like that, because it is different from the ultimate truth of Dharma-nature, it means that ultimate truth is empty of the nature of other. In short, measured from the perspective of conventional truth, it is emptiness of non-affirming negation and non-negation; measured from the perspective of the ultimate truth of Dharmadhatu, it is empty of the object of other's conceptualization other than itself. Then, one might ask, what is the need to say that ultimate truth is empty of its own nature? This is because the ultimate truth is not established as it is grasped by the mind. Like this, after determining through hearing and thinking, the view experienced through meditation, as explained in the explicit teachings of the middle turning of the wheel of Dharma, is considered to be definitive meaning of non-affirming negation, that not meditating on anything is meditating on emptiness, and that not seeing anything is realizing Suchness. The intention of the final turning of the wheel of Dharma, explained by the brothers Asanga and Vasubandhu of the Maitreya's Dharma lineage, and in the collections of praises by Nagarjuna, the wisdom of non-duality of grasper and grasped is to be experienced through meditation, and that is also in accordance with the intention of the profound tantric scriptures. Moreover, the wise and accomplished ones of the past practiced them in combination, that is, on the ground of ordinary beings, when determining the view through hearing and thinking, the mind's clinging is difficult to break, therefore, it is prevented by the wisdom arising from hearing and thinking, because the reasoning of consequentialists to cut off the imputation is extremely sharp; also, when determining with the experience arising from meditation, the Madhyamaka view spoken in the final turning of the wheel is extremely profound and excellent, because the ultimate truth of the Dharmadhatu, which is naturally pure, the self-arisen wisdom is the original state of all phenomena, which is also in accordance with the practice of the view explained in the profound tantric scriptures, they thought so. Therefore, the founders of the chariot tradition are Maitreya and Nagarjuna, because other commentators enter by relying on the treatises of these two. Moreover, Nagarjuna in the commentary on the middle turning of the wheel, with the Collection of Middle Way Reasonings, etc., which determine that all phenomena are empty of self, and the Collection of Praises, etc., which determine that other is empty, which are commentaries on the final turning of the wheel.

He excellently explained the meaning of the decree, and those who successively held that lineage, the teachers of Prasangika and Svatantrika who proclaimed selflessness, were the fearless Dharma protectors. Gyaltsab Mipham Gon composed the treatise 'The Five Treatises of Maitreya' establishing the other-emptiness view. That tradition, which was well explained by the two brothers Asanga and Vasubandhu, was upheld by Dignaga, Dharmakirti, Chandra Gomipa, and others. And those two founding teachers were also prophesied by the Buddha to be unerring in explaining the profound Madhyamaka. As it is said: 'The monk known as Palden, his name is called Naga, he destroys the factions of existence and non-existence, in my teachings in the world, he will thoroughly establish the unsurpassed Great Vehicle.' And: 'The monk called Asanga, is skilled in the meaning of that treatise, the sutras, definitive and provisional meanings, he will thoroughly distinguish many aspects.' So it is said. Ratnakara Shanti also explained that Nagarjuna and Asanga have the same philosophical view. In his Madhyamakalankara, it says: 'What Maitreya Asanga said, Nagarjuna also thought so, the two truths, endowed with valid cognition and scripture, should be explained here.' So it appears. Shantarakshita and others also seem to have consistent views. If we briefly recount what we have heard from ancient documents regarding the history of the differences in views between the two teachers, and from the nectar of the words of the great treasure revealer Lama father and son. There appeared two teachers, Buddhapalita and Lekshenpa. Those two obtained the treatises of Nagarjuna from Nagarjuna's disciple, the teacher Nagarjuna's friend, and from his disciple, the teacher Sangharakshita, and practiced them, thereby attaining supreme wisdom. The former saw Manjushri, and the latter saw Vajrapani, and taught many teachings. On the Fundamental Treatise on the Middle Way, they refuted the views of the former teacher and made commentaries, and promised to rely on Nagarjuna's oral instructions, and after explaining some sutras, they established the Madhyamaka school that proclaims selflessness, and Buddhapalita had very many disciples.
