combined. The commentary states: "The equality of the four times is in the very nature of the Dharmadhatu, residing absorbed in the dense and ornate mandala." Secondly, the five perfect causes of the tantra are complete, so that the meaning of the tantra arises in the minds of those to be tamed, which is evident from the phrase "at a rare time for the fortunate." Sixth is the compiler, the prince Vajrapani, who holds the secret treasury of all the Tathagatas of the ten directions and four times. As stated in the Ocean: "Among the retinue, possessing supreme fortune, the time for taming has come, the lord of secrets, Vajrapani, performs the compilation." Also, as stated in the Root Text: "The lord of secrets, Vajrapani, with the uncommon and definitive tantra, compiles the unanswered and non-obvious meanings, the blessings are known in the human realm." As stated in this very text: "In the words of the vajra secret." This has been explained in the text. Acharya Nyima Oser said: "Vajra secret is the name of empowerment, it is known as the name of the lord of secrets, Vajrapani." Thus, the need to mention the compiler is that without a compiler, it is like a mute person speaking, it will not appear later, and to avoid other slanders about this tantra, where, by whom it was taught, to whom it was entrusted, and then by whom it was propagated. It has already been said at the beginning, here it is only explained in terms of words. Secondly, the basis for taming beings and the purpose, the fifteenth chapter of this tantra, the Chapter of the Past Lives of the Wrathful Deities, explains. Among them, in general, there are three types of wrathful deities: the wrathful deity of great wisdom, the wrathful deity of great knowledge, and the wrathful deity of the great mudra. The first is the wisdom of realizing selflessness, therefore it can destroy the conceptualizations of reality and name-holding, and naturally becomes wrathful. As stated in the Vajra: "True great wisdom, for the sake of destroying names, is the supreme wrathful deity." The second is the knowledge of realizing self-awareness, therefore it can control all dharmas and destroy the seeds of samsara from the root, and naturally becomes wrathful. As stated in the Extensive Sutra: "The king of self-aware knowledge, having gathered the realms of the ten directions, all dissolve into the realm of non-objectification, all transform into a multitude of wrathful deities." The third is, in order to never abandon the beings to be tamed, not to exceed the time of taming

is the Great Seal. There, in order to save beings, the effortless compassion destroys the discordant side, and spontaneous anger is compassion. As the Divine Lineage says: "Non-grasping, non-conceptual is compassion, attachment is anger." For this reason, in order to subdue the difficult-to-tame beings, it transforms into the wrathful deity appearing as the body and attire of the Great Terrifier, which is the activity of showing as appropriate. It is also said: "From the Gongdü it says: 'For those who are extremely fierce and cruel, pacification is of no benefit, from the wisdom and means mudra, the wrathful Tathagatas accomplish all.'" Among these three, here is the wrathful deity of the Great Seal. This is not showing something like an angry messenger sent by the Tathagatas, because it is said: "The nature of all Buddhas manifests the mandala of wrathful deities." How is it shown? As before, from the six perfections, the first to show is: the master of all lineages, the general form of all Buddhas, the sixth Vajradhara himself, without moving, appears as the glorious great supreme Vajra Heruka in the face of Rudra. Then it says: "The master of all Tathagatas, the nature of all Buddhas." The second is the place: the unbearable great charnel ground. Rejoicing in the great charnel ground, in the middle of the ocean of blood, on top of the great mountain of skeletons, in the middle of the wheel of great blazing flames. The third is the retinue: the retinue of the fierce to be subdued and the retinue of the antidote of the subduer. The first is: Rudra and his retinue. If one wonders what is the cause of straying there, in general, the two ignorances cause all sentient beings to wander in samsara. In particular, Rudra, formerly at the time of the creation of all kalpas, when born as Black Liberation, Thubdka Kunnu said: "If the suchness is not treated as it is, even if one dwells and practices in the four objects, it is like a cloud in the sky, this is the path of supreme yoga." Because of using it as it sounds, the ripening result is that one experiences twelve thousand great kalpas in the hot and cold places of hell, and then one goes through six great kalpas of rebirth as a hungry ghost.
