From the eight charnel grounds that are signs of qualities, A gathering of fierce, powerful, lion-faced, slender women, With great compassion, the left hand grants refuge, the mother who burns in yoga. Eight slender women of the regions... From the four reversed charnel grounds, With the four immeasurables, accomplishing the benefit of beings, The iron hook, the four doors, the lasso, the iron chain, the bell mother. Four wisdom gate mothers... The consorts of the great gods, a gathering of powerful ones, Possessing mastery over the laws of samsara, the form of a rakshasi, The general hand of nirvana, the emanation body with a head ornament. Twenty-eight powerful mothers... With palms joined, relaxed speech, in a state of peaceful wisdom, without wavering, In order to subdue the violent, manifesting an blazing form, Fifty-eight deities who revel in blood-drinking. Gods who are primordially unborn, self-arisen, and accomplished, The remaining karma from previous lifetimes is still present, May it be manifest to me now! Now, to dispel the doubts that arise in the minds of ignorant beings like myself regarding the mudras shown above, I will briefly explain the method of performing them. In the case of the right hand, etc., raise the five fingers of the right hand. In the case of the left hand, etc., raise the five fingers of the left hand. "Perfectly complete in the net of illusions of HUNG," etc., for those eight lines, simply join the palms and interlock the fingers. Join the tips of OM (Tibetan: ༀ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om) and MUM (Tibetan: མཱུཾ, Devanagari: मू, Romanized Sanskrit: mūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Mum), Intertwine the eight syllables and join the tips. In that state, clasp the two little fingers in vajra lock. Raise the right middle finger and the left index finger, joining their tips. Raise the right index finger and the left middle finger, joining their tips. Join the tips of both thumbs and little fingers separately, intertwining them and concealing them between the palms, This is the mudra that unites with all the Buddhas, The mudra that bestows great bliss. Meditating on that meaning, The great lord of all mandalas, For this phrase, release the previous mudra, and press the roots of the little fingers of both hands with the thumbs.
