Nagarjuna said: If the head or clothes suddenly catch fire, in order to stop those, even giving up what needs to be done, one should strive to be without rebirth, because there is nothing more supreme than that. As the holy one said: After finishing the busy work, I didn't go to practice Dharma. When you remember, run, Dingriwa (place name). Third, contemplating the faults of samsara has three aspects: contemplating the suffering of the three lower realms, contemplating the suffering of the heavenly realms, and generally contemplating the nature of the three sufferings. First, contemplating the suffering of the three lower realms: Thus, it is certain that one will die, without the power to stay in this life. Dying is not enough, one must take rebirth. That does not go beyond the two, happy and unhappy realms. In that, one is not independent, but follows the karma of black and white. I have accumulated so many non-virtuous deeds. If I am born in the lower realms, what kind of suffering will I experience? One should think like this. As the noble Nagarjuna said: Extremely hot and cold, hell should be remembered like a single day. The hungry ghosts, emaciated by hunger and thirst, should also be remembered. The animals, with their great suffering of ignorance, should also be looked at and remembered. Abandon those causes, and practice the causes of happiness. As it is said. First, contemplating the suffering of hell has four aspects. First, contemplating the suffering of the hot hells: The difference in the place is that the ground is made of burning iron, with valleys or ravines. Flames about a span high are constantly burning, and molten copper and corrosive liquids are flowing. The trees of burning iron are filled with burning flames, filled with fierce birds and beasts, and many unruly hell guardians and executioners. It is surrounded on all sides by walls of burning iron and pits of fire. That is hotter than the fire at the end of the kalpa, and the lower ones are said to be four times hotter than the ones above. Those in the bardo state who are born there are driven by rain and wind, and appear to be cold. Seeing the place of the hot hells, they know it is warm, and run because of craving. The moment they enter there, they will take rebirth as if waking up from sleep. Moreover, because the consciousness is sharp and the body is soft, they lack patience in both body and mind, so the suffering is even more intense. The difference in suffering is that those who are पुनर्जीवन (punarjīvana, Devanagari: पुनर्जीवन, Romanization: punarjīvana, Chinese literal meaning: revival) etc.

Due to the power of karma, various weapons appear in their hands. Because they harbor animosity towards each other, they strike each other with intense hatred. When they faint and fall from extreme suffering, a voice comes from the sky saying, "May you be revived!" Or, due to the cold wind rising, they are revived again, and like before, they endlessly experience intense suffering. For the beings in the Black Line Hell, the hell guards draw four or eight or many black lines on their bodies, and then saw them open with tools like saws on these lines, or chop them with axes, etc. This suffering is endless. For the beings in the Conglomerate Hell, when their bodies gather together, the hell guards put them into the gaps between the rocks, sheep, tigers, lions, and other faces of the iron mountain and squeeze them, causing streams of blood to flow from all the pores. When they gather again, they are crushed like sesame seeds with huge iron hammers, or they are struck and destroyed by a rain of molten iron-like stones, suffering such pain. The beings in the Shrieking Hell, when seeking shelter out of fear, see an iron house. As soon as they enter, the door closes, and flames burn inside and out. They cry out but cannot find help, suffering such pain. The beings in the Great Shrieking Hell, like the other Shrieking Hell, are burned as before in a two-story iron house, suffering extremely intense pain. For the beings in the Hot Hell, their bodies are burned like fish in an iron pot with burning flames. A burning iron skewer is inserted from the anus and pulled out from the crown of the head, burning all the internal organs. Flames burn from all the pores and hair follicles. They are thrown on the burning iron ground and beaten with burning iron hammers. For the beings in the Very Hot Hell, a burning iron skewer with three points is inserted from the anus and pulled out from the crown of the head and both shoulders, causing flames to burn from all the pores. The body is wrapped with burning iron plates. They are cooked like rice in a molten iron pot, melting flesh and blood, leaving only the skeleton. They are spread on the iron ground, and when flesh and blood grow again, they are cooked again. For the beings in the Uninterrupted Hell, intensely burning flames come from all directions from the iron ground, burning their skin, flesh, tendons, bones, down to the marrow.
