Thus it is explained. The Minister Jewel is, as the Manifestation states: "Whatever king, with pearls radiant, like offering much gold etc. to the capable one, the patient, equal, wealthy householder, this Minister Jewel will attain." Thus, the minister arising from the splendor of the king's merit, wise, clear, and loyal, possessing the divine eye, sees treasures within a yojana's circumference. In short, many jewels such as gold arise effortlessly and are inexhaustible, heeding the king's commands and being loyal to his duties, understanding the king's thoughts as they are, accomplishing even without being instructed, and not harming others, thus possessing four qualities. The General Jewel is, as the Manifestation states: "In all going, returning, and coming, destroying all the demon armies, possessing the army of bravery, steadfastness, and wealth, the General Jewel." As it is said, the general accomplished by the power of the king's merit, wise, clear, and loyal, accomplishes the tasks the king has in mind even without being instructed, possessing complete valorous qualities, abandoning non-dharmic actions for his own sake, not being attached to others' wealth, acting according to reason, knowing the times of others' comings and goings while seeking opportunities, possessing the power and strength to destroy enemies, and so forth, possessing eight qualities. Furthermore, the Manifestation states: "Brave and resolute, with excellent limbs and a supreme form, a thousand sons will be born to him." Thus, it is said that a Chakravartin king will have a thousand sons who can destroy enemies and hold the reins of power. And, bows and arrows etc. that subdue enemies, and the seven nearby jewels refer to the sword of endurance, which emits blue light, as an accessory of the king, the dragon skin offered by merchants, the delightful forest, the finest silk that is extremely soft and immaculate, shoes that do not sink in water and can travel a hundred yojanas, immeasurable houses, and bedding that is soft to the touch, these nearby jewels have also been described. I have not elaborated extensively. Regarding the need to explain the treatise on the sixty-four arts: I have not seen a previously compiled one, and...

vīra(梵文天城体,vīra,梵文罗马拟音,英雄)称为勇敢,即对布施、佛法和战争勇敢,是喜悦的自性。 kāruṇa(梵文天城体,kāruṇa,梵文罗马拟音,慈悲)称为慈悲,是对欲望衰退和财富衰退等痛苦所逼迫而产生的姿态。adbhūta(梵文天城体,adbhūta,梵文罗马拟音,奇妙)称为奇妙。

Su. Like the cuckoo's call, it shines like the neighing of a bright and intelligent horse. Like the roaring of a retinue elephant. It is said. When should these be taken? In ancient treatises, it is said: When one is arrogant and conceited, one should take the fifth and middle tones. In heroism, bravery, and wonder, one should take the sixth-born peacock and the king of bulls. The earth-holder and retinue tones should be taken with the taste of compassion. In battle and with fear, one should take the bright and intelligent tone. As the scholar Yeshe Dorje quoted in the commentary on the introduction to the Lankavatara Sutra. When playing and frolicking with groups of young women, and when in accordance with an arrogant mind, one should take the fifth tone, like the sound of a cuckoo. In the middle, one should take it like the sound of a crane. Furthermore, when subduing others with a fierce demeanor and showing the distinction of wonder, one should take the sixth-born peacock's sound and the king of bulls' sound in accordance with it. Again, when possessing the feeling of compassion, one should take the earth-holder or scent-holder, that is, the sound of a goat, and the sound of a retinue elephant, in accordance with it. Like a wheel of strife, in times of strife and fear, one should take the song called "Bright Intelligence," like the neighing of a swift horse. It is said that many aspects of such songs are explained in the treatises of the righteous Bharata and Vishakha. Furthermore, there are seven tones and three cities, as well as twenty-one victors, and forty-nine tanas, which are the mandala of tones. It is said, without further elaboration. Fourth, the nine aspects of dance are: śṛṅgāra (藏文,शृङ्गार,śṛṅgāra,splendor) called coquetry, which is playing and frolicking in women and gardens, enjoying the abundance of wealth, and the decorative coquetry of experiencing joy from seeing wondrous sights, possessing many excellent natures. That is possessed by men and women, and is enjoyment and spectacle, and coquetry is considered to be of two kinds. It is quoted from Desire. vīra (藏文,वीर,vīra,hero) called bravery, which is bravery in giving, Dharma, and war, is the nature of joy. kāruṇa (藏文,कारुण,kāruṇa,compassion) called compassion, is the posture that arises from being afflicted by suffering such as the decline of desire and the decline of wealth. adbhūta (藏文,अद्भुत,adbhūta,wonder) called wonderful.
