Act with wisdom, purity, and order. The steward of the monastery is responsible for the management of all affairs, including the monastery's surroundings; the offering services of each shrine; the continuous offerings of the upper and lower halls, comprehensively and without interruption, and the practice of hail prevention in summer, carried out in an orderly manner without fail; the general affairs of the monastery, such as willow trees and other gardens, are also managed in conjunction with the steward, and the spring maintenance projects are carried out as before. Except for the kitchen, no fire sources other than paint burning, incense, and moving butter lamps are allowed outside the door. People coming and going must not make noise or fight at will, and must not damage the walls, paintings, and stone slabs, and must be strictly restrained. Protection from garbage and rain and snow must be comprehensive. If anyone carries away door curtains, iron nails, wood, etc., they must be compensated at the price. If someone scribbles on walls, etc., the perpetrator must be found and repaired; if it cannot be confirmed, the person in charge of the garbage dump must be responsible for the repair. Outside the monastery, no one should dig the ground, turn stones, cut down trees, steal, or damage dams and gardens without reason. Violators will have their clothes confiscated and fined according to the severity of the offense, without favoritism. For printing images of Buddhas and other sacred objects, no paper should be wasted, and it must meet their respective needs. No additional charges may be demanded beyond the printing costs. Half of the remaining offerings and the income from printed materials should be used to offer a butter lamp in the temple every evening, and to replace the flags on the roof, leaky devices, and door curtains, etc., in order to improve management and promote each other. The leaders, heads, and elected representatives of each department must decide on the distribution, registration, financial balance, and budget of the Sangha through discussion. Through written summaries and other methods, they should make suggestions on common and individual matters, share the affairs of Dharma assemblies, etc., and must not use seniority to suppress others. The old and young should be harmonious, pool their wisdom, unify their thinking, and develop together in a good direction. In short, the stewards must do all of the above.
