Attachment to desires is particularly condemned by the Blessed One in many ways. Abandoning desires is praised, and abandoning, eliminating, extinguishing, being free from attachment, ceasing, pacifying, and subsiding are praised, honored, lauded, and spoken of sweetly. Venerable one, from now on, with a mind of attachment, do not fix your eyes on the realm of women, do not even look with your eyes. What need is there to mention engaging in impure conduct, the practice of sexual intercourse, with two people joining together and teaching the Dharma of lust? Venerable one, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha, the Knower and Seer, also said that any Bhikshu who, together with the Bhikshus, has the same precepts, has not renounced the precepts, has not violated the precepts, and engages in impure conduct, practicing the Dharma of sexual intercourse, even with a being born in the animal realm, that Bhikshu has failed and should not dwell together. This was taught, and if a Bhikshu does such an act, immediately after doing it, he is no longer a Bhikshu, no longer a Shramana, no longer a son of the Shakyas, and he falls from the status of a Bhikshu. His practice of Shramana is destroyed, he is fallen, broken, ruined, and defeated, and his practice of Shramana cannot be recovered. For example, if the head of a palm tree is cut off, it cannot turn green again, nor can it grow, expand, or widen. From now on, you must strive to diligently guard your mind with mindfulness and vigilance against non-conduct, non-action, and non-practice. How does one not engage in such conduct? He says: I do not engage in it. Secondly, it is taught that one must abandon the Parajika offense of taking what is not given, along with its associated parts, which is caused by attachment to external objects. This is the instruction: Venerable one, listen. Taking what is not given is condemned by the Blessed One in many ways. Abandoning taking what is not given is praised, honored, lauded, and spoken of sweetly. Venerable one, from now on, with a thieving mind, do not take even a sesame pod's worth of another's property without it being given, then

What need to mention more than five shakas or not five shakas. The Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, who knows and sees, also, if a monk dwells in another village or monastery, and takes what belongs to the category of theft, what has not been given, however much he takes that has not been given, if he is seized by the king or a great minister, and they say to him, 'Hey, you man are a thief! A child! A fool! A thief!' Saying this, they kill him, or bind him, or banish him, whatever the case may be, if a monk takes what has not been given in this way, that monk also becomes defeated and should not dwell together. This was taught. If a monk commits such an act, as soon as he does so, he becomes unfit to be a monk, unfit to be a renunciate, unfit to be a son of the Shakyas, he will fall away from the state of being a monk, his practice as a renunciate will be destroyed, diminished, broken, fallen, defeated, and his practice as a renunciate will be irretrievable. Just as, for example, if the head of a palm tree is cut off, it cannot become green again, nor can it grow, expand, or spread. From now on, strive with mindfulness and vigilance to guard your mind very carefully against what is not conduct, not action, and not practice. How does one not engage in such conduct? He does not engage in it. Thirdly, the defeat of taking life, incited by hatred, along with its associated aspects, must be avoided, this is the teaching. Venerable one, listen! The Blessed One has condemned the taking of life in many ways. Abstaining from taking life is praised, honored, lauded, and commended. Venerable one,

It is also okay to say. To this, it is said: 'Alas, person, what are you doing with this sinful, impure, and evil life?' Alas, person, it is better for you to die than to live.' Saying this, with the desires of the mind and the various discriminations of the mind, in various ways, are you causing him to die? To this, praise death. If that author dies, that bhikṣu will also become a fallen one and cannot abide. 'These words were spoken. If a bhikṣu does such a thing, immediately after doing it, he will not be able to become a bhikṣu, not be able to become a śrāmaṇa, not be able to become a son of the Śākyas, he will lose his status as a bhikṣu, his śrāmaṇa conduct will be destroyed, decayed, ruined, fallen, defeated, and his śrāmaṇa conduct will be irretrievable. For example, if the head of a palm tree is cut off, it cannot turn green again, nor can it grow, expand, and widen. From now on, what is not your behavior, not your business, and not what should be done, you must abandon, and with mindfulness and vigilance, strive to guard your mind very diligently. How will you not do such a thing? He will not do it. Fourth, because of being driven by any of the three poisons, the downfall of speaking falsehood, and the related parts, should be abandoned, this is the teaching. O possessor of life, listen. The Blessed One rebukes falsehood in various ways. Praising the abandonment of falsehood, respecting, praising, speaking sweetly. O possessor of life, from now on, even thinking of joking, do not knowingly lie, let alone intentionally speak of the noble Dharma of humans? O possessor of life, the Blessed One, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, the Knower and Seer. Furthermore, if any bhikṣu has not realized and has not fully understood, and for the noble Dharma of humans, there is no limit, no excellence, no attainment of distinction, no knowledge, no seeing, no practice of wisdom, and although he does not have it, he claims 'I know, I see.' If he wants to be purified from that downfall, at another time, whether asked or not, he says: '
