Now it is appropriate. The Shravaka Arhat thoroughly realizes the absence of self of the person, while the Pratyekabuddha Arhat also thoroughly realizes the difference of the absence of self of the apprehended phenomena. Fifth, due to the power of aspiration, the Pratyekabuddha is definitely one who possesses a basis in the desire realm. As stated in the *Compendium of Topics* (Abhidharmasamuccaya): "This is the power of aspiration, due to the power of aspiration, it is born in the realm of desire itself, and if a Buddha does not appear, it becomes a Pratyekabuddha." Sixth, the four fruitions are not included in the Pratyekabuddha. In the *Perfection of Wisdom Sutra*, it says: "These are applied only to the Shravakas, and the Pratyekabuddha is mentioned separately." In the extensive explanation of the *Commentary on the Basis of Knowledge*, it says: "Stream-enterer, Once-returner, Non-returner, Arhat, and Self-awakened one." Therefore, it is said. The second is, in order to abandon the conception of the object of apprehension, and so on. Therefore, abandoning the conception of the apprehended, not abandoning the conception of the apprehender, the Pratyekabuddha path possessing the three characteristics of the basis type, directly shows the path-wisdom with the object of realizing selflessness, and implicitly shows the Pratyekabuddha's own lineage path. If one asks, here it says: "In order not to abandon the grasping," and the Sutra says: "Possessing intermediate intellectual capacity," is this contradictory? There is no fault, because these only refer to the opposite aspect of the Pratyekabuddha's type of realization. Third, regarding the Mahayana path of seeing and the path of meditation, the first is: "Truth and forbearance of truth," and so on. Therefore, the path of seeing has three aspects: the physical basis, the mental basis, and the nature of the path of seeing that is relied upon. First, by their own power, they are born in the three continents of the desire realm, because they are naturally sharp-witted. By the power of others, they can actually be born in the basis of form as well, because it is said that the gods of form who come to listen to the Dharma from the Tathagata by the power of miracles, also give rise to the realization of path-wisdom. In summary, it refers to a person who abides in the supreme Dharma of their own Mahayana system. Second, the Hinayana path of seeing relies on any of the six dhyana grounds, while the Mahayana path of seeing mainly obtains by relying on the mind of the actual basis of dhyana, which is seized by special compassion.

Furthermore, it says in the Ornament [for Clear Realization], "Having obtained the exceedingly pure fourth dhyana." Specifically, there are also instances of relying on the mind of the peak of existence, because the actual absorption of the peak of existence, which is the nature of the final moment of the path of joining, has the actual cessation in which the nature of the forbearance of suffering dharma serves as the basis for the mind. Third, there are two aspects: definition and division. The first is: the clear realization of truth that arises after the completion of the path of joining in one's own system of vehicle, and which directly realizes selflessness. The second is: the path of seeing of the Hearers, the path of seeing of the Solitary Realizers, and the path of seeing of the Great Vehicle, these three. The definition of the first is: the clear realization of truth of the Hearers, which directly realizes the truth of the individual. The definition of the second is: the clear realization of truth of the middling vehicle, which directly realizes the selflessness of apprehended phenomena. Division: Both Hearers and Solitary Realizers have sixteen moments of knowledge and forbearance. Third, there are four aspects: definition, division, analysis of the manner of arising in moments, and the qualities explained in the scriptures. The first is: the clear realization of truth of the Great Vehicle, which directly realizes emptiness. If it is the path of the Great Vehicle, it is not necessarily any of the five paths of the Great Vehicle, because if it is the path of seeing, it is necessarily meditative wisdom. Although the subsequent wisdom of the first ground is included in the path of seeing, it is not the path of seeing. Second, from the perspective of the object, there are sixteen, such as the forbearance of dharma, and from the perspective of the nature, there are two: the uninterrupted path and the path of liberation. The definitions of the latter two, respectively, are: the clear realization of truth of the Great Vehicle, which is included in the abandonment of the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, and the obscurations of knowledge, by means of antidotes; and the clear realization of truth of the Great Vehicle, which is included in the basis of the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, and the obscurations of knowledge, by means of antidotes. The first is divided into two: the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, and the obscurations of knowledge, which are included in the desire realm, and the uninterrupted path, which actually abandons the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, the afflictions to be abandoned by cultivation, and the obscurations of knowledge, which are included in the higher realms. The second also has a similar explanation. Third, there are two aspects: the actual enumeration of what is explained, and the detailed manner of arising, along with incidental explanations. First, there are four systems: the view that the path of seeing is one moment, the view that it is two moments, the view that it is four moments, and the view that it is sixteen moments. In general, the latter is accepted as one's own system, and this has the system of unobstructedness.
