One should keep in mind, "The top is also, the middle is also; the end is also, everything is also." Then, regarding the naming of the general names of equal (Sanskrit: Vṛtta) metrics, what is the basis to be named, and what is the name that is named. First, for example, "If Ta Ya in the middle is Phrau," starting from every six letters as a line, the metrics are understood by lines with each letter increasing. Then, for the combination of one to five letters as a line, as arranged in red, yellow, etc., is it not also accepted in this treatise? Answer: Because there are very few combinations of metrics with less than five letters, they are not distinguished here. Even so, because the examples of wonderful combinations are made with four letters, I think it is not completely unacceptable. The Lamas, the scholars consider and say that verses with six letters or less are defined. Second, ancient Tibetan scholars, according to the treatise of the Brahmin Kapila: Whatever is initially determined to exist, that line has six letters; youthful play is the seventh; the eighth is subsequently praised. The ninth letter is delay, the tenth letter is prostration. Fourteen is the powerful Vajra. Twelve is uttering the throat. Thirteen letters are noisy together. Fourteen letters are the spring drop. The fifteenth is the rosary. Sixteen is Rahu. The human armlet is the seventeenth. It is said to be uttered slowly. The eighteenth is loving. Vairochana's play is the nineteenth. Twenty letters exist together. Twenty-one letters hold the rosary. Twenty-two letters speak slowly. Twenty-three letters are called by the gods. Doing violently is twenty-four. Crane's leg is twenty-five. Saying the letter is twenty-six. Hand gestures are completely playful. Even if you follow these to name, those names only express the various differences of those metrics, and do not fully express the general name, this view is reasonable. So, what is the complete expression? Although the names from one to five letters do not appear in this treatise, in the Garland of Flowers, there are saying, very saying, intermediate, and excellent establishment.

As in "place," it refers to a verse with a single letter. The second is very expressive, the third is together in the middle, the fourth is the ultimate place, and the fifth is the excellent ultimate place. The names of the letters below six are mentioned in this treatise. Among them, there are two types: single and combined. The first is: the sixth letter is called "Vowel Sound," similarly, the seventh is "Very Joyful," the eighth is "Following Praise," the ninth is Bṛhatī (藏文,梵文天城体,Bṛhatī,the meaning of Chinese characters), the tenth is "Garlanded," and the eleventh is "Triple Praise." The second is divided by "Very" and by six such as "Extreme." The first is: "Living Beings," "Powerful," "Good Conduct," "Firm Holder," etc., each is a single letter, and immediately after that, each letter has "Very" added to its beginning, arranged alternately. In order, the twelfth letter is "Living Beings," the thirteenth letter is "Very Living Beings," the fourteenth letter is "Powerful," the fifteenth letter is "Very Powerful," the sixteenth letter is "Good Conduct," the seventeenth letter is "Very Good Conduct," the eighteenth letter is "Firm Holder," and the nineteenth letter is "Very Firm Holder." The second is: "Capable," etc., where "Pure" only means the sound of purity, and after the six such as "Extreme," each is added with a "Capable," that is, the twentieth letter is "Capable," the twenty-first letter is "Extremely Capable," the twenty-second letter is "All Capable," the twenty-third letter is "Every Capable," the twenty-fourth letter is "Good Capable," the twenty-fifth letter is "Very Good Capable," and the twenty-sixth letter is "Especially Capable." From the twenty-seventh letter onwards, the method of counting letters divided by feet is called "Continuous" and "Extreme Increase." Although these are also verses, even so, because verses of Bṛtta (藏文,梵文天城体,Bṛtta, the meaning of Chinese characters) with more than twenty-six letters can be increased in wonderful ways, but the combination is very rare, considering this, here, apart from combining only ra and ya after two letters, no other classification is made. Thus, there are six such as "Vowel Sound," eight such as "Living Beings," seven horses, that is, seven such as "Capable." In the commentary, at this time, interspersed The summary of numerical terms mentioned incidentally is: Form one, pair two, fire three, knowledge and water treasury four, arrow and power realm five, time and taste are six, world horse sound Victorious seven, wealth god.
