Mount Sumeru, called "Great Stone Boulder," is composed of five kinds of precious substances and has a height of one million yojanas. Then, the measure of the mind-made bodies that appear in the empty space divided by the terms neck, face, and topknot of Mount Sumeru are successively twenty-five thousand, fifty thousand, and twenty-five thousand, totaling one million yojanas. Furthermore, Mount Sumeru has a round outer shape, like an upturned bowl, with a distance of eight thousand eight thousand, or sixteen thousand yojanas, from the center of the base to the edge in each direction. It is surrounded by a circumference of one thousand yojanas. The upper surface gradually increases, presenting a five-horned shape. Regarding the condition of the horns, there are many different opinions, but our view is that the four lower horns encircle Mount Sumeru in the manner of a belt. That is, the lower horns hang down and rotate, aligning with the outer edge of the base's one thousand yojanas circumference. From the junction of that lower horn to the top of Mount Sumeru, it is divided equally into four parts, with one horn hanging from the junction of each of the lower three parts. The fifth horn, the uppermost one, level with the top of Mount Sumeru, extends outward in all directions, dividing into the crest of Cool Mountain. Thus, these five horns hang down like large copper dishes stacked on small copper saucers, with the upper ones wider than the lower ones. The straight-line distance from one edge of the top of Mount Sumeru to the other is fifty thousand yojanas, and the circumference is one hundred and fifty thousand yojanas. As stated in the Great Commentary: "The width of the top of Mount Sumeru is fifty thousand yojanas between the east, west, north, and south." Moreover, "The five upper peaks extend out to the places of the earth, that is, the circumference is in all directions." "Outside of that are islands and mountains" means that outside of that circumference, within the scope of the four peaks, in the place of shelter, are the four continents, and so on. As it is said, the uppermost of the five horns, covering the top of Cool Mountain, like a bird's nest, has a width of sixteen thousand yojanas in its scope, divided equally into eighteen parts, with six islands, six oceans, and six mountains alternating in each part, covering the ground below the middle three horns of Mount Sumeru.

So it is. Regarding the six continents, from the inside in order are Moon White Light. And so on. Each continent is surrounded by six seas, namely honey and so on. Each sea is surrounded by a mountain, in order, blue light and so on. Thus, the summit of the outermost Snow Mountain and the summit of the fifth horn of Mount Sumeru hanging downwards meet without any gap. Therefore, it is impossible for the light of the outer sun and moon to reach the inner mountains, seas, and continents. However, the people inside live by the light of their own bodies, etc. Because they enjoy the same as the gods, the six inner continents are known as the land of enjoyment. The width of each mountain, continent, and sea is sixteen thousand divided by eighteen, resulting in eight hundred, eighty-eight, and nearly nine, which is a distance of three shouts, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one bow-lengths, and a little more than ten fingers, which is the width of each. Then, from the outside of the Snow Mountain to the inner edge of the water circle, the seventh continent, Jambudvipa, is the land of karma, with a width of twenty-five thousand. It is divided equally into three parts in the four directions of Mount Sumeru, totaling twelve parts, which are twelve parts or twelve continents. Starting from the first in the east, clockwise in order are Eastern Continent East, Eastern Continent Central, Eastern Continent West, and so on, all named in this way. The outer edge length of each continent is twenty-five thousand, and the inner edge is only thirteen thousand five hundred. In the center of the four central continents of the twelve continents, from the east in order are lengths of seven thousand, eight thousand, nine thousand, and ten thousand. In the east is a round wind, in the south is a triangular fire, in the west is a square earth, and in the north is a crescent-shaped water, each with such signs. This is said in the Tantra: In the east, the wind is very round, and the lord of men, in the south, the fire is triangular. Arranged according to the root commentary as stated, even so, in the Chinese version here, पर्ूवबायार्द्रतवृत्तंभबति। (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Here, अर्द (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) means "half", and the commentary below also says that the eastern round is half, etc., which is reasonable, so the scholars say. From here, small Jambudvipa, the central Southern Continent.
