Above are four hours, twenty-one chu srangs (water lines), five breaths, and nine adod chas (desire portions). Even if using very little, adding four parts on top of nine, totaling four hours and twenty-two chu srangs (water lines). Multiplying these two numbers by thirty, totaling two minutes and eleven hours. Therefore, multiply by these eleven hours. In this way, accumulating four adod chas (desire portions) of breath each day, each month will have an excess of one chu srang (water line), three breaths, and three adod chas (desire portions). Accumulating for thirty-nine months, it becomes a full hour. To eliminate it, place bug me (fire hole), which is thirty-nine, in the lower position. Subtracting the remainder divided by thirty-nine from the middle, usually adding up, the determination of the month is two minutes, ten hours, fifty-eight chu srangs (water lines), two breaths, and ten adod chas (desire portions). Depending on what is done, the multiplier becomes pure. The obtained remainder is eyes, that is, the two that are given. Using it to purify the middle, as mentioned before, the calculation remainder of the sun is twenty-six minutes and fifty-eight hours. Even mixing it would be pure. Because it is easy to do, purify the constellation wheel with the calculation remainder, less than two hours.

As it is said, "Because of my existence, the impure parts must be removed in any case." Therefore, I have explained the method of removing these faults in the fourth chapter of this book. Now, the completely pure calculation method for removing the faults up to now will be known from the explanation below. Thus, some scholars say, "The purification by mixing two things with the wealth obtained by Bugme (an astrological method) purifies more than forty-four parts out of seventy, so the remaining part is debt." This statement is unreasonable, and it will be understood through what has been said before. Fourth, regarding the certainty of the movement of "dhruva" (Sanskrit: dhruva, pole, constant) depending on "byed pa" (Sanskrit: karaṇa, division, unit of time in Indian calendar), that is, in the dhruva of the planet of the previous month, add one to the position of the planet, add thirty-two to the hours, add two (eyes) to the integers, and add one (moon) to the parts. For the sun's dhruva, add two (pair) to the kala star, and add eleven (rhinoceros and moon) to the hours, so that the dhruva of the later month is produced, which is only to clarify for the benefit of children the way the dhruva of each month moves from rough to rougher. Since operations such as removing the faults of six and thirty-nine in the lower positions have not been performed, the certainty depending on "byed pa" (Sanskrit: karaṇa, division, unit of time in Indian calendar) cannot be clarified either, and this is not the final conclusion. As it is said in the Great Commentary, "It was arranged in order to make the certainty of the impure month within the impure thoroughly understood by the children." However, through this method, the definite movements of the pure month should also be understood, which will be explained below. Fourth, there are five ways to explain the certainty of the date: the weekday date part, the Sunday part, the lunar mansion, the yoga, and byed pa (Sanskrit: karaṇa, division, unit of time in Indian calendar). The first is: by adding the number of the date to be calculated to the planet position of the dhruva, it will become sixty "chu tshod" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: ghaṭī, Romanized Sanskrit: ghaṭī, literal Chinese meaning: hour) of one day. If so, then the fixed length of the date only has fifty-nine "chu tshod" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: ghaṭī, Romanized Sanskrit: ghaṭī, literal Chinese meaning: hour) following, and if it is considered impure, there is no fault. Because from the hour position below, purifying with any date number will actually become fifty-nine "chu tshod" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: ghaṭī, Romanized Sanskrit: ghaṭī, literal Chinese meaning: hour). If it is thought that there are still fifty-nine "chu tshod" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: ghaṭī, Romanized Sanskrit: ghaṭī, literal Chinese meaning: hour) following, three "srang" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: pala, Romanized Sanskrit: pala, literal Chinese meaning: moment) and four "dbugs" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: prāṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: prāṇa, literal Chinese meaning: breath) missing, then after adding the date to the weekday, subtract six from "srang" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: pala, Romanized Sanskrit: pala, literal Chinese meaning: moment) and subtract two from "dbugs" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: prāṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: prāṇa, literal Chinese meaning: breath), multiply them by the number of the date to be calculated, so that fifty-nine "chu tshod" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: ghaṭī, Romanized Sanskrit: ghaṭī, literal Chinese meaning: hour), three "srang" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: pala, Romanized Sanskrit: pala, literal Chinese meaning: moment) and four "dbugs" (Tibetan, Sanskrit: prāṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: prāṇa, literal Chinese meaning: breath) can be given.
