Entered into Nirvana. Then, after six hundred years, Drakpa appeared and stayed for two hundred years. Then, after three hundred and ninety-seven years, the beginning of Fire-Space-Ocean (མེ་མཁའ་རྒྱ་མཚོ།) occurred. After Drakpa passed away, after eight hundred years, the Rabjung (cycle) that spoke of mixing the passing away appeared. From the passing away of the Teacher until then, one thousand six hundred years passed. Then, until this Iron Bird year, ten cycles of sixty and fifty-four single years have passed, so according to this system, it is considered that two thousand two hundred and fifty-four years have passed. Also, Rongpa Ngawang Drakpa believes that from the passing away of Thubwang until the beginning of the first Rabjung of the year of passing away, one thousand five hundred and one years have passed. Then, until the current Iron Bird year, six hundred and fifty-four years have passed, so according to this system, it is considered that two thousand one hundred and fifty-five years have passed. Also, Telpa Kunga Gyaltsenpa believes that the Root Tantra was spoken in the Iron Snake year after the Buddha's passing. Then, after two years, in the Water Sheep year, Lhawang taught the Dharma, and after forty-three years, in the Fire Tiger year, the Teacher entered Nirvana. Then, Lhawang for fifty-seven years, the five Dharma Kings for five hundred years, Drakpa for one hundred and one years, the eight Rigdens for eight hundred years. Then, after one hundred and eighty-two years, in the Fire Dog year, Gyalka brought the Tantra commentary to India. Then, until this Iron Bird year, it is considered that eight hundred and seventy-five years have passed, so in total, according to this system, it is considered that two thousand five hundred and fifteen years have passed. Furthermore, the intention of the feet of Jamyang Do-Ngak Tenzin Zangpo is as follows: The Teacher was born on the eighth day of the first month of the Wood Mouse year. At the age of twenty-nine, he renounced in the Water Dragon year. At the age of thirty-five, he became enlightened in the Earth Dog year. At the age of seventy-nine, he taught the Tantra on the thirtieth day of the black month (Tibetan twelfth month) of the Water Horse year. At the age of eighty, he entered Nirvana at midnight on the eighth day of the autumn month (Tibetan ninth month) of the Water Sheep year. From the Wood Monkey year after that, in the Wood Monkey year after six hundred years, Drakpa appeared and taught the Dharma for one hundred years. Then, in the Wood Monkey year after eight hundred years, the barbarians invaded and Gyatso Namgyal ascended the throne. Since sixty-two years have passed in Ya'an, according to this system, it is considered that 2,557 years have passed since the passing of the Teacher Shakyamuni Buddha. Also, Khyenrab Wangchuk Buton Kache believes that the Root Tantra was taught in the Water Horse year, and both the Water Horse year and the Water Sheep year are the years of Zla-bzang. From the Wood Monkey year onwards, after six hundred years, Drakpa appeared, and so on. Calculating from then on as before, from the teaching of the Root Tantra until this Iron Bird year, it is considered that 2,559 years have passed. The ten years that began from then were the remainder of Gyal-dka's life. After that, starting from the Iron Dog year, the Sun, Various Forms, and Moonlight each taught the Dharma for one hundred years, and the twelfth year of Moonlight, the Iron Snake year, was the beginning of the past years of Fire, Space, and Ocean. After Moonlight, the seven, including Infinite, each ruled for one hundred years, and the Man-Lion taught the Dharma until ninety-three years had passed. These are considered to have passed before the Water Male Dog year when the elimination of confusion began. From then until the current Iron Bird year, 238 years have passed, so according to this system, from the teaching of the tantra until the Iron Bird year, 3,033 years have passed. Also, Sa-spyod Byangpa Namgyal Drakpa believes that enlightenment was attained in the Iron Snake year, and the tantra was taught in the subsequent Water Horse year. The Water Sheep year was the beginning of the Zla-bzang year for one year. The six Dharma Kings and the eight Drakpa Rigden each ruled for one hundred years. After that, mixing the Fire, Space, and Ocean with the 654 years after the Rabjung, according to this system, from the teaching of the tantra until the Iron Bird year, it is believed that 2,559 years have passed. Also, subtracting one year from that, it is believed that 2,558 years have passed.
